Terrible experience, we bought our engagement ring in July of 2018 and had to get it resized to fit, when the ring came back from a resize the top prongs were bent and all of the prongs that hold in the side diamonds we're bent or broken and in the next 10 months we had to bring in our ring for repair NINE different times so in a year's time my fiance was only able to wear her ring three months total as it was in the repair shop most of that time, then on the final repair we also got two bands to go with the ring one of the bands did not contour to the ring and on top of that the diamonds were smaller than the other band and it had no 14K gold stamping on it, and come to find out it was an old band that had been polished multiple times and was not even the right band for our ring, So now we are waiting again for our new band to show up, I have never done business with a store more incompetent than this Kay Jewelers, I think going to a smaller jewlery store where everything isn't just mass produced would have been the right move, I hope nobody has to experience the nightmare my Fiancee and I have had to endure with this store, Their jewlers are beyond incompetent, I would have payed Twice what the ring was worth to not have my fiancee cry and have us be stressed out over something that is suppose to be flawless, Do not do business with this store or Kay's in general, I feel robbed of an experience that should have been something amazing rather than a...
Read moreI purchased a ring about a month and a half ago, but they didn't have the right size so we ordered it in a different size. They told me it was going to be about a week. After 2 weeks I called to inquire about it and the man I spoke to said the delay was because they didn't have that size and actually were sizing one. Got my ring and had it about a month. I turned my hand over one night and noticed it there was a perfectly straight crack through the band( as if it cracked right were it was sized). Brought it back and the man told me that I needed to purchase the warranty to get it fixed and I must have damaged it myself cause it was flat on the bottom and that would've never happened just wearing it. He also told me that I was never told it was being sized when I ordered it. So he basically called me a liar. I work in a car dealership and understand things come defective and things happen but if it's only been a month and something breaks the company makes it right. Over the years my husband and I have sent alot of money at Kay jewlers, and have only went to kay, but after this I am done doing business there. I am not a review type person and don't think I've ever left one before, but this was absolutely...
Read moreDo not shop here. My fiance bought a beautiful diamond ring. The diamond had actually cracked. Such a large crack that I could see it with my bare eyes. During the inspection, the jeweler couldn't find it even with the microscope until I showed her. They agreed to replace the diamond. Guaranteed it would be back in 6-8 wks with an equal or better diamond (this was 3 months before the wedding). Prior to sending it in, the GUARANTEED it would be back in time for the wedding. We are now 4 wk from the wedding, they still have not gotten the diamond. They claim it is "being cut" in Europe and won't be finished until AFTER my wedding. They have offered me a new band and diamond from in the store, but it is a downgrade from what my fiance paid for. They claimed that another diamond to choose from would arrive a week ago, now they state it will be another week. They can not confirm that this diamond will be of equal value, but it will have a minimum criteria of color and clarity rated lower than what we paid for. They refuse to refund the money so that we can purchase a ring elsewhere. If you want a stress free engagement period,...
