Dollar General — Local services in St. Lawrence

Just over the past 2 weeks alone. I've had at leasy 3 terrible experiences while shopping there. The most recent being buying a mop head and cellphone charger for my phone enter mob. I got home and realized it wasn't the right one I went back to return it and the guy says to me " I can't do it without the receipt" Then I tell him he just checked me out ten minutes prior and he probably threw it away in his trash can he said "I just took the trash out". Unbelievable. A few days before that incident, I went to grab milk and the line was ridiculously long and after waiting About 20 minutes. I what's next up in line And the associate you could tell was new. Had to phone call the manager to have her work through the system.. after 10 more minutes the guy tells me she's in the back the whole time. Every single person in line was frustrated. And you're telling me. The manager was in the back the whole time ?? I can go on and on..absolutely the worst ran dollar general I've ever been in.. the door has been smashed in for 6 months with a handwritten note that says "use other door" no caution sign.. After this experience last night, my wife and I. Decided, we will never shop there again. Whether we have to go out of our way completely to buy, whatever is necessary. That's how bad this place is. And i've never been at that point before with a nationally owned store. I just want you to understand how terrible this story is before you enter!!!! And self checkout?? There is none! They claim because of "theft". We are in Mt. Penn!!...

Over the past month they've been remodeling. Half the time there's no tile down it always reeks of either sewage or tile glue. Several aisles were partially blocked and the one aisle was completely blocked. With all the remodeling going on I wouldn't doubt it's not currently wheelchair accessible I couldn't imagine anyone in a wheelchair, using a Walker, or on crutches wouldn't be able to get through as I myself was unable to get through some areas of the store. Having said all of that the employees were helpful and kind, one cashier helped me to find the fake snow I was there for.
