Mandarin Wok — Restaurant in St. Lawrence

Would give 0 stars if I could. The lady that answers the phone with the very broken english is a rude "person" (not the word I am thinking). My wife order here a 2 months ago and her order was or $50 and it comes with a free 2 liter soda. My wife made sure and told the person she spoke to on the phone she wanted a Sprite. She received her delivery with no problem. 3 or 4 days later my wife order again and the order came out to close to $60 and she requested her free 2 liter to be Sprite. Not even 3 minutes pass and the rude "person" lady with the very broken english calls back,and she tells my wife that they are not giving anymore free sodas. She tells my wife that they stop giving the free 2 liters over a week ago and my wife tells her that she ordered 3 or 4 days before that and got a free soda. The rude "person" lady says she will not honor it and so I complained in the background on what a cheap "person" ( the word begins with the second letter of the alphabet is what I am thinking) she is and I guess I hurt her feelings. You know the truth hurts. Next time my wife tried to order the rude "person" (second letter of the alphabet the word I am thinking) lady says that the man in the back ground was saying things I didn't like so don't order here anymore and my wife call her a rude second letter of the alphabet. First off I miss the lady that was working this place many years ago Jenny I think her name was. That's when the food was fresher, the oil was never old like now, and there was more food in the orders. Gave free sodas all the time. She always delivered to use and talked to us like we knew her for years very friendly lady I miss her8. The place was always clean and never had roaches and mice like it does now. Look it up it was in the paper not to long ago they failed inspection for mice droppings and insects. Now all this because she got her feelings her because I spoke the truth. Lady you answer the phone and don't understand what people are saying send the wrong orders to people but, you sure understand when I called you a cheap rude (second letter of the alphabet). This place needs a new staff that appreciates the fact that they need us to stay open ,and we don't need them. You can go to better places like the one on Hiesters Lane Reading PA. Better food and comes with so much food that they have to staple the tray closed. Clean your place and your attitude you...

Placed an order at 7:30 pm. 9:00 PM I called and asked how much longer it would be and the child that answered the phone stated the driver was on his way. 9:30pm we were still waiting. 9:40pm I call again and politely ask them how much longer and the child again answers and says, oh yes we told driver to come to you first so sorry. 10pm, food arrives. They forgot half the order, the other half was wrong and to top it off, there was what looked like a bug in our rice. I immediately called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager and the child says, I have to translate she dosen't speak English. I tell them the issue and the manager says, send food back. I ask if I can get a refund and she says no because I recieved the food and I explained half the order was missing and she says, they are making it and will deliver it. I politely explain that I no longer want the food just for the simple fact it had a bug in it. I waited 2 1/2 hrs for half an order with bug in it. She then tells me that she that the order I placed online was through beyond menu and I needed to call them for a refund. 4 hrs later, I am told the order has been canceled and I will receive my refund in 2 to 3 business days back to my card. The beyound menu people even said they have had issues with this restaurant. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!! I wish I had read the reviews...

Typically I have no complaint with this restaurant, however I wish I could post a picture of the mystery item I was about to consume. I had ordered my usual steamed jumbo shrimp and decided to order shrimp lo mein which has been my favorite lately. Every once in awhile they throw in shredded lettuce which seems odd but I'll just pick it out, after scooping the rest out of the metal tray into my bowl I see something blue. Not sure how this counts as food, but they managed to let a blue rubber band fall into the food. I'm alittle disappointed since this could have been avoided since the color clearly makes it stick out. The time of day was early so being busy wasn't a factor and the parking lot was empty. Not sure if I'll go back...
