Mount Penn Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Exeter Township

I'm giving this review not to penalize the restaurant, but in hopes that they read it so they can improve and survive, we want to support small buisneses. My advice to owner is go to competing diner restaurants within a mile or two and compare your meals with an open mind side by side, and you'll absolutly see why you need to change desperately. My advice is have a menu where every item is delicious and fresh. I ordered an italian panini, and it was strange bread but not a panini and nothing like the image on the menu. It was okay. Fries were not very good and I was disappointed. Cheese steak was just like in the 1 star review, it was burned and old, cheese wasn't even melted, and small portion. I would give that a 1 out of 10. The garlic bread was overcooked and not garlicky, 2 out of 10. Spaghetti was watery on plate and chicken parm, cheese wasn't melted and breading was overcooked and brown, when it was cut oil would come out. I could have spent the same amount roughly and had much better food. Please change your menu and or cook, use fresh ingredients, and limit menu options if you can't serve competitive food, scrambled eggs were also overcooked,...

The waitress was very pleasant I can't say that for the looks of the Resturaunt could definitely use a makeover pretty drab and looked like you walked into the 1970's with the looks of the place The Breakfast well the home fries had no taste and also they looked like they were boiled but never thrown on the grill for frying them up some very bland threw most of it out but the best part actually the worst part is my boyfriend ordered (3)sausage with his 2 eggs( over med) and his gritz w/toast ( he saw what he ordered off the specials of the day......

My wife and I stopped at Mount Penn Family Restaurant on a Thursday morning to have a late breakfast with family during the holiday travel season. We had a party of six people in our group.

When we arrived, three of our group were already seated and had their coffee. Our server came to the table quickly to get our orders and there was a Carafe of coffee already on the table.

Our server was friendly in an East Coast manner. It was not Southern Hospitality as we are accustomed to, but she was efficient. Our orders arrived quickly and were accurate. I had a three-cheese Omelet with Potatoes and toast, and they were cooked well and very well.

They have a full menu with a large variety and selection. I found many items on the menu I would like to try out if we are back in...
