This has been a horrible experience. I decided to order everything for my kitchen and bath remodel from Home Depot. That was my first mistake. The cabinet order was botched - they delivered with 8 cabinets missing. They also did not communicate at all that the order would be a week later than they originally told me.

I also tried to order a sink/pedestal combo online because it was not carried in the store. They delivered it broken 3 times. Twice it was delivered to my property and once to the store and it was broken every single time.

This is a rental property. The entire remodel is done and I still do not have a sink/pedestal so I can't rent out the unit. After a heated discussion with Kayla in corporate (employee id 51020)who refused to give any sort of compensation or even a gift card for the tremendous hassle I finally said to cancel it and we would get the sink/pedestal elsewhere.

For this specific store: hopefully you do not have an issue as wait time to speak with a manager averaged about 30-40 minutes standing in the store. They are also incompetent and dismissive. I asked one associate (a younger guy) where the cabinet handles/knobs were. He looked at me like I was crazy and said "we don't carry those." After wandering around the store I finally found them because of course they carry them. What a rude and dismissive answer. The cabinet guy Chris was no help at all when our order was delayed and cabinets were missing. His solution was to have us call the cabinet manufacturer and/or trucking company that was supposed to make the delivery. I told him specifically that I wanted delivery to the unit since this is a second-floor apartment and of course they just dropped off pallets in front of the house. I had to hire movers to get them into the apartment.

What a bad experience. I would definitely recommend NOT using this store or Home Depot. I don't know what a better alternative is but their customer service was terrible. Very disappointed at the way I...

I came to this Home Depot store on Sunday morning around 9:30 so I wasn’t expecting it to be very busy. There were at least 4 employees in the customer service area, but for some reason only 1 person was checking people out. The line of customers waiting to check out was 8+ people long with multiple customers wanting to purchase bulk materials. I understand getting rid of the self check out, but this means that there needs to be enough workers to make sure customers aren’t waiting 20+ minutes in line to check out. I actually asked one employee walking by to see if there was a way for him or another employee to help with the check out and he said he was not able to do that and that the store manager (who was the 1 person checking people out) was the person to talk to. Without trying to interrupt the store manager who was checking a customer out, I asked if she could call for back up in the check out area. She responded rather shortly by saying that she had called for someone, but no one had come up yet. Maybe an employee would have come to help eventually, but I wasn’t going to wait around to find out, so I left without purchasing what I came for. I would like to note that the original employee who I asked for assistance was just meandering around the check out area and from my point of view did not have a particular task that he was trying to accomplish. I can’t remember a time I have come to this Home Depot location and the customer service exceeded or even met my...

I will change my rating if this situation is rectified. I came in to pick up a rug I ordered online. They were nice but said they couldn't get to it because shipping was unloading the truck and too many things were blocking it. I kinda understand how that can happen. The lady at the customer service desk kindly called the manager for me so I could see if they could waive the delivery charge (I live 8 blocks away) and deliver the next day. they agreed and I took the day off work.

And I waited... and waited....and waited. No one came. the rug never showed. They were going to call and they never did.

I called this morning and it took 15 minutes before the first person answered and then I got transferred. Another 5 minutes and a real person and got transferred. I got transferred four times (I didn't even know what department was helping because they never said). I explained the situation for the fourth time and begged him not to transfer me. He took my name and number and said he'd call back with in 5 minutes and hopefully put it on the next truck. It's been over an hour and no call, no word.

I can't keep taking days off work and the low to no communication is not helping. This is why people order on amazon. All future home repair needs will be handled at LOWES unless this gets rectified.

EDIT: went form 1 to three stars because after a few more phone calls and not getting called back and waiting a long time I called for a manager and she immediately...

I am someone that uses the Home Depot app to make most of my purchases. Generally by doing this it saves me time and keeps my receipts organized. However I have ordered items from the Kingshighway location multiple times and then waited days for them to prepare the order... Ultimately then needing to cancel it and buy it again through a different Home Depot such as the South County or Crestwood locations. The other stores in St Louis (Sunset Hills, Manchester, South County, Chesterfield) are virtually seamless in the transactions that I place using the Home Depot app. The Home Depot app itself has issues quite often... That is a little bit annoying but usually it works well enough, it's just clunky and slow especially during checkout. So the app itself does not typically impede me from getting what I need. The only thing that impedes me from getting what I need is ordering it from the Kingshighway Home Depot location... It's not even worth trying. If you need something from this location you have to just go there and walk in the store and find it. This just takes more time than I have available so I truly appreciate the good service I get at the other Home Depot locations mentioned above.

Home Depot, our love affair is over !!!!! I needed some replacement sockets for a project I was working on, so I stopped at Home Depot which was on the way home. I shouldn't have wasted my time and money. If I had wanted fittings for electrical conduit, they had tonnes, but only one small peg board of replacement fittings for lamps, and most of those pegs were empty. I settled for some cheap "brass" sockets. Problem is once you put those two parts together you will never get them apart without a vise and a pliers which destroys the cheap metal they are made from. I managed to find exactly what I needed the next day online from 1000Bulbs. They don't even have a handy dandy Customer Service email where you can express your displeasure with your "Home Depot Experience". I've moved on to my local, family owned, Westside Hardware, with friendly associates, eager to help. If they don't have what you need in stock, they can have it ready for you the next day.

I came to get an extra key and the Minute Key Kiosk (With no instructions) took my original key and never gave it back. Now I am stranded at the store and customer service told me it will be weeks before I can get it back. So I called the company and they said they'll send a technician out in 3 hours. The rep for the company that works at the store is incredibly insensitive as if it's my fault that this happened. Minute Key turned into hours of being stranded STANDING next to this key machine with my 6 year old daughter scared and crying. The minute key rep literally told me "it's your lucky day the technician can be there by 4pm" I understand why people don't like Home Depot, I'll be shopping at Lowe's from now on. They couldn't even offer us a chair. These people are so inconsiderate and rude.
