My group of 3 girls were having drinks to celebrate a birthday at around 4:30. We were having a great time , interacting with patrons and laughing and living life. We got drinks and were mingling until around 9. The original bartender left, and we were met with another male bartender.
He proceeded to tell me that I was too intoxicated (I had the same amount of drinks my friends had). He called the cops to escort me out of the establishment. I had not attempted to drive home nor did he do a berathilizer. I was the only black woman and person in the establishment. There was no reason to call the cops on me since I did not create a disturbance and had a DD to drive me home.
The only reason I could think of is discrimination and racist actions towards me. This establishment does NOT welcome any race besides white people and that was super apparent tonight. I’m a teacher in this community and a GREAT citizen and HAVE NEVER HAD COPS CALLED ON ME. When I asked the cops why I was being escorted, they gave me vague answers and wouldn’t tell me s sound reason.

The bar has a great selection of beer, but I would hesitate to order a cocktail during a busy Saturday morning while their many TVs are filled with the the biggest soccer matches from around the world. Fans from all over singing songs like "Glory, Glory Man United", and agonizing over every shot wide (😉) really brings you into the match like no other sports bar near by.
They've got quality pub-fare next door that'll call out your name throughout the bar, and they've done a good job with covid restrictions; adding a lot of heaters in the outdoor section to provide social distancing spots to still enjoy the match. Or game - the bartenders will post on most sports if you ask just don't expect that courtesy during a busy soccer match. All in al, easily one of my favorite bars...

If one patty isn't enough for your appetite, you can get a double or triple patty too. They have a good variety of cheeses including Gouda, which opens one up for even more word puns like "this is a really Gouda burger!" I think the buns are potato that are slightly toasted on the grill. So good! One especially important feature of The Dams burgers is they actually fit in your mouth! A lot of burger joints have gone so overboard with the burger size that I have to use a knife and fork to consume it! The Dam's burgers are this little Goldilock's dream come true. Oh and their fries and dipping sauces are top notch. Definitely try the honey curry dipping sauce. Overall, it was great food, in a humble/cozy setting, at about...
