I bought a Turtle Beach Stealth Pro headset from this location last Sunday. When I looked online the price had changed. I called Gamestop customer service and they advised me that they would note my account to give me the credit since it was a store purchase that I would have to take my receipt back to the store. I called the store and was advised that if I came back to the store they would see what they could do. I went into the store and Alex told me that he would have to check with someone. He said that he looked at my account and didn't see any notes. He called Logan and I spoke to him and he advised that since I had opened the box that there was nothing he could do. I explained that I was not trying to return it I just wanted the price adjustment. I asked when a manager would be in and he said that they were going to say the same thing and hung up the phone. I called customers service and asked food they note my account. The customer service person said that she didn't see any notes but she would talk to the person on duty and ask them to give me a store credit since I was misinformed. Alex told her that he didn't tell me that he was giving me a credit and he didn't. I asked for the store manager and district information and he proceeded to ignore me with a smirk on his face. This is bad business. I asked before I bought the item if it was going to be on sale in a couple of days and was advised that other items was going to be on sale not the item that I purchased. It was not even a good week and no price adjustment but to be brushed off and hung up on was unprofessional. Read moreI went in to preorder the new pokemon game that comes out tomorrow. I paid with cash and asked to get it digitally, I explained that I wouldn't be able to come in on release day nor the midnight release, and this was my only chance to get the game. They told me that by today, I should have the digital code in my email. Well, no email came, so I gave a call. A different employee picked up the phone, I explained the situation, I was told I would have to come in. To get a digital code that SHOULD have gone to my email. The receipt says my pre-order will be cancelled if not picked up in 48 hours, but I wouldn't be able to come in in the next 4 days, so they would more than likely cancel my preorder. No clue what they're going to do to give me my money back, hopefully not through credit. I've nearly had it with this location, they never have the newly released things, constantly being told 1 thing then another within the next few hours.
I called corporate an waited nearly an hour on call to try to talk to them about my problem, the lady on the phone said I should get the code within email in the next 48 hours after the game releases. So, now I'm being told 3 different things at this point. I'm feeling very disappointed with this experience. I don't think GameStop will be my go-to anymore...
Read moreCame in june 10th around 705. Line was fairly short. Picking up a gamestop gift card for a birthday. Two people at counter checking out guests. Male worker was checking out customer, having a conversation about failing out of bootcamp. As the lounge grew the employee kept on his conversation and didn't seem to be expediting the growing line. I asked him if he was an open register. He stopped his conversation and came over to me in line and said he was actually on break and just ringing up a friend. He asked what i was buying, i showed him the gift card. He then told me that i could purchase that at Wal-Mart or a few other stores in the area. I said i was the next person in line and i didnt want to go to another store. He told me if i didnt want to wait, he was sure my purchase would be much faster if i left and went somewhere else. He went back to talking with his friend, rung him out and went out to the parking lot. Im not sure of gamestop policies so i wont go into the whole accessing and ringing up friends while off the clock. But the things he said to me came off like my business wasnt wanted.
