The wedding dress/tailoring space is as critical as a DOD spec. Heaven forbid a seam is dropped 0.001 inch off spec. I threw Maria at Macriz a curve and asked if she would stitch a museum display case cover for me. No one in Fairfield county or Westchester would take a crack at it but she simply asked for the material and dimensions in a very confident and soft tone of voice. Her shop was closed due to the virus scare but a colleague of hers was kind enough to let me in their unassuming shop. The cover was promised and delivered on the next day and was exactly on spec. Really superb sewing and well over and beyond what I thought I settled for in view of the price Maria negotiated. Frankly, I should have paid double for the quality of the work product so I'm paying it forward here. I would send Maria repeat business and offer you one bit of advice; The more you know about what's possible and what's not, the happier you'll be with the end result. I cannot say enough good things about Macriz and her family! When I received my wedding dress, it needed a lot of work. The place where I ordered it, mis sized me completely. I cried for days… when I went to Macriz Designs, she made me feel right at home and put a smile on my face. From my first fitting to my last, she TRANSFORMED the dress!!! I looked perfect on my wedding thanks to her. I am forever grateful. If you need the best seamstress in Stamford, go here, you will not be disappointed. She puts in the extra time and effort to prefect each project. She is super flexible and prices are reasonable. The best of the best!!!

I need one dress repaired and another altered. I have been calling this business during posted business hours for two weeks. The phone either rings endlessly or a recording says the voicemail is full. So I decided to go to the business during their posted hours with the understanding that I may have to make an appointment to return for my alterations. Unfortunately, I waited 15 minutes past opening hours and no one ever showed up. This business is very unprofessional and unreliable.
