If you're craving authentic Italian food with a warm and inviting atmosphere, look no further than Sunny & Frankies. One of the standout dishes here is the bow-tie pasta bolognese. It's a hearty and satisfying dish, with perfectly cooked pasta and a rich, savory sauce bursting with flavor. The clams casino is a must-have. These tender and plump clams are cooked perfectly and served in a spicy and aromatic sauce. That needs freshly toasted bread for dunking. This dish packs a punch, but it's just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting. But the main courses are genuinely where this restaurant shines. The husband owner, who is also the head chef, clearly takes pride in his work, and it shows in every dish. Each main course is carefully prepared and beautifully presented, focusing on fresh, high-quality ingredients and bold, authentic flavors. Whether you're in the mood for seafood, pasta, or meat, you will find something that will make your taste buds sing. This Italian restaurant is a gem, with delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a quiet dinner, a family celebration, or a night out with friends. Take the chance to experience it yourself - you won't be...
Read moreHad a wonderful meal tonight at Sunny and Frankies or as my kids call it Corey and Kim’s. Corey is in the kitchen cooking the most consistently magnificent food i have had the pleasure to eat and his wife Kim is either behind the bar mixing wonderful cocktail’s and welcoming guests or waiting tables. They are always warm and welcoming like eating at good friends’s house.
Tonight i had two of the specials. The cucumber, tomato, onion and gorgonzola salad in a balsamic vinaigrette. It’s One of my favorites. Each item is fresh and the balsamic vinaigrette pairs really well with tge cheese. As a main i had a breaded pork chop with pasta marinara. Nobody can cook a chop like Corey, cooked but super juicy and tender and the crunchy breading brings it to the next level. And the pasta marinara is not an afterthought it is delicious. The marinara is full of flavor and the pasta is perfectly al dente.
What i find amazing is that the food is consistently excellent. It is one place that i have never had just an...
Read moreI've been living in the Sprindale area for over 10 years now, and for some reason, I've never been to Sunny and Frankie's. Huge mistake on my part. I went here on a Friday night about 6 ish. There was a nice gathering of people in the bar that seemed like "regulars."
There was one server/bartender named Kim who handled the whole place, and she did it expertly. I had one of their special "dirty" martinis and perused the menu. Kim let me know about a number of specials they were featuring, but I was in the mood for chicken parm. But I did opt for their special cucumber salad. (If you think it looks over dressed in my photos, that is my doing. I requested extra dressing.)
I have to say that both the salad and chicken were fantastic, and their parmesan bread is to die for!! All in all, it was a dynamite meal, perfectly paced, and with outstanding service. I plan on going back over and over again!
Thank you Sunny...
