🚨 PLEAE READ AND AVOID LIVING HERE 🚨
I really don’t even know where to begin. But please take time to read the other reviews. No one who actually lives here is giving 5 stars!!! It’s been terrible and I regret it so much. I am praying for the downfall of this apartment complex. I’m counting down the days until my lease ends. Most of the reviews are PEOPLE WHO HAVE TOURED, but, don't live here.
echoing the same sentiments of everyone’s else’s experiences; other ghetto and nasty tenants are already ruining the building by constantly having parties in the pool/amenity/common areas. The pool is dirty with locks of hair and trash(yes inside pool and no one cleans it up. I was at the pool once day, and a mother was letting her child jump from the seats and chairs with her shoes ON as if it was a playground. we pay way too damn much to live here and people trashing the place. At this point, this complex is going downhill and very fast just like their sister property across the street (VRV) and CloudHouse just opened up in February. You do the math. I have seen trash and dog poop in multiple areas on the property and it’s so RIDICULOUS that we pay so much and the investors and property managers couldn’t invest in trash cans on every parking level!?
Now let’s get into the parking situation! Parking is so terrible; your assigned parking spot is at the other side of the building rather than on your floor/near your unit. Let’s not fault mention (just like management and developers did) if you’re assigned to the sixth level parking, Guess what? No elevator goes up to the sixth level parking structure! I wonder who smart idea was that?! Mind you, I just moved in a month ago and as of last week (end of June) the company property was hosting a private event, and one of the tenants got their rim and tire STOLEN. We have many gates and doors that you need a key up to get in, how does that even happen?! They only have about 10 cameras at two different Locations at the property and not the parking structure itself. With all this money that They have invested into this property, they don’t have enough money to install more cameras for security?
Noise: The windows aren't double-paned like they tell you during the tour, so there's a constant loud sound of traffic and neighborhood noise constantly happening and it makes it hard to sleep and work from home. Tenants are Not mindful of the quiet hours that are “ Supposedly enforced” But management does nothing to patrol our monitor this they tell you to refer to the on-site security guard, but doesn’t do anything.
Security and Safety: Neighbors CONSTANTLY letting many non-residents into the building to use the amenities, which means paying residents can’t access or use them. I've seen multiple tenants bring all their family and friends to the pool and amenity deck, and then just leave them there!! Tenants giving their keys to friends to use gym and pool and doesn’t allow us tenants to enjoy living here. The lease states only two guests per unit, but this isn't enforced at all. Ive seen drunk tenants actually fighting and arguing outside with their guests in front of the gate entry at 1am (pic for reference) this is not OK! where the hell is security and safety!? And it’s just a constant party every weekend with guests parking being filled all the time And not allowing others to visit since the guest parking is just so terrible.
Management: No one in the management team is competent enough to run this complex. poor management overall, despite being operated by Greystar. Management doesn't respond to emails and are constantly giving us misinformation, which makes it very confusing. they don’t follow up with you regarding issues that you reported unless you get an escalated to somebody higher. This is my first and last time I ever sign with a GreyStar property. living here has been more stressful than it should be. I wouldn't recommend Cloud...
Read moreEvery negative thing posted by other residents is true. After two months here, I have more to add. Management is incompetent, pretends everything is perfect, and they’re damn good liars. If you’re a prospective tenant, do your research and don’t fall for the facade of the nice lobby/amenities.
Neighbor noise - Walls are thin, poorly insulated, not what you’d expect from luxury apartments. You hear upstairs neighbors’ footsteps, TV, and hallway noises constantly. If your upstairs neighbor has a dog, good luck. I tested and heard my own TV from 10 feet away in the hallway. I now have to complain to neighbors and spend money sound-proofing my rented apartment. “Quiet hours” aren’t followed, and security is a one-person show.
Water - Hard water with white flakes coming out of faucets. I’ve never seen it this severe in California. If you have skin issues, beware. When touring, bring a cup and ask to fill it from the fridge - see the white flakes yourself.
In-Unit Build quality - Greystar rushed these apartments. Flooring misaligned, door knobs misaligned, paint missing, fixtures misaligned. Document everything and take pictures or they’ll likely keep your deposit and not return it.
Amenities - Nice amenities, but get used up fast as more tenants move in. Tenants bring multiple non-residents who use amenities past hours at times. We’re paying close to $3,000 for non-residents to use this place. Lounge areas are dirty with obvious stains on outdoor and indoor furniture. Elevators break down constantly - did they order from Temu?
Parking - My parking was set up away from my floor despite being promised aligned parking. Gates constantly break down. No 24/7 surveillance when security is crucial in Stanton - known for theft and drug addicts roaming at night.
Neighbors - Many residents are nice and keep to their own, but a few make it worse for everyone by blasting music and smoking weed and making hallways smell like weed (supposed to be smoke-free building).
Rent - The 8 weeks free thing, it’s legit BUT they don’t give you the 8 weeks free right away. It’s months after your lease starts and what they do is they have you pay full price, then they’ll credit you the equivalent of 8 weeks free split two different times. They tack on many add-ons that you don’t expect are optional, because they’re deceptive in how they phrase these add-ons. For one, they have a trash valet service where you can leave your trash right out your door. (Also this is such a tacky idea and will have your hallways smelling like other people’s trash and look ghetto, but I digress). You can opt out of this and just take advantage of the trash room located in every floor. Saves you an extra $25 a month.
Everything points to greedy owners cutting corners at tenants’ expense. I regret signing here and count days until my lease ends. Do NOT rush and be duped by...
Read moreUpdate 7/12: looks like parking garage gates are broken again. They stayed open overnight the last 2 nights and counting….except this time the property didn’t notify residents. Hope no one else’s tires get stolen…
Living here has been okay, but also not what I imagined. I expected some growing pains since it’s a new property, so if you’re not okay with that then don’t move into any brand new property.
I do agree the parking assignments are unreasonable. Having to walk all the way across the parking lot to the opposite side to your car is inconvenient. It’s also unfair that the guest parking is always full. It’s the same cars parked there all the time so I think residents are also parking there. It’s inconsiderate to hog those spots all the time. If people can’t follow guest parking rules then they should lose their guest parking passes/privileges & get towed at their expense.
The elevators and parking gates break down pretty frequently as has been mentioned. I feel like they could invest in better equipment as many of us pay $3,000+ rent a month. It’s also concerning that someone’s tires were stolen in the garage as mentioned in another review. I would hope the property cared more about our vehicles for how much we pay.
A few months ago the property was clean and well maintained. But now some of the areas are dirty, trash on the ground, pool furniture on the floor, etc. Again, this wasn’t an issue a few months ago so probably the newer residents. People who don’t respect the property should not be here. This isn’t your mom’s house. Hallways smell like weed or cigarettes sometimes—gross. I thought this was a smoke free property? Some of these new residents are sketchy and messy and that does not belong at a “luxury” property. This property had so much potential to be great, but sadly it’s going down by the day. With how things are going, I don’t think I’ll stay when my lease ends as I can likely live in a nicer area and...
