After my husband and I picked up orders from Yoshinoya, we noticed a restaurant across the Beach Boulevard advertising takeout deals: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13, two California Rolls for $9.50, and a buy-one-get-one-50%-off deal on any rolls. So we decided to swing by and grab some Teriyaki Chicken Bowls to go a week later.
When we walked in, there was an Asian auntie and a young staff behind the counter. As we ordered, we got to chatting, and the auntie told us that she used to own a restaurant in Buena Park for 18 years before moving to Stanton in this location 7 years ago. (She might be the owner but I’m not 100% sure) She proudly assured us that everything the restaurant served is fresh and delicious. Just by looking at the neatly arranged ingredients at the sushi bar section, I could already tell this place is good.
We ordered the takeout special: two Teriyaki Chicken Bowls for $13. It was such a great deal, and they were indeed very delicious. The chicken was tender, and the sauce had a refreshing hint of lemon. The bowls came with two slices of carrot, cabbage, and broccoli, along with a perfectly portioned amount of rice. Just as the auntie guaranteed , it was tasty and worth every penny. (If you dine in, there’s no discount. These deals are only for takeout.)
The menu offers a lot of variety. The lunch specials (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM) seem like a steal. Here are some combos it offers as follows and we’ll definitely be back to try more.
Combo A: Chicken Bowl + California Roll for $10.95 Combo B: Beef Bowl + California Roll for $12.50 Combo C: Spicy Chicken Bowl + California Roll for $11.95 Combo D: Udon + California Roll for $11.95 Combo E: Udon + Spicy Tuna Roll for $13.95
Just last week, my friend and his family of seven came to visit Disneyland. They were craving for Asian food, so I picked up some Teriyaki Chicken Bowls from here and brought them to the park. Everyone loved the teriyaki bento 🍱 , even the picky kids finished their bowls. Highly recommend this place.

Read moreOne of my favorite stops for sushi! Edited to update So we have been supporting this establishment for several years, few times a month.Untill a few months ago my family keeps getting treated poorly. There's been an incredibly rude older woman who I'm assuming is the owner. She's demanded my spouse to order food if he's going to stay in the restaurant when in reality she forgot he just ordered food and is waiting. She doesn't like it when he enters the restaurant to order or pick up. Many times she has been really irritated and annoyed and my husband brushes it off.
Today my child went with my spouse and returned upset. Apparently the same woman was mad and irritated they were there, refused to communicate clearly and ended up tossing the bag of food on the counter when it was done. I come home to a sad family who showed me the sad rolls upside down and crushed. I was furious the way she treated my family and ruined the food we paid for.
I'm sorry you keep assuming my spouse is a vagrant. I'm sorry you're so miserable you upset a child. Show some kindness, it's free. Enjoy your customers who you choose to enjoy serving based on your judgment.
We will stop supporting and tell our friends and families we introduced to your restaurant about the poor...
Read moreI have been here previously to enjoy their sashimi combo with fresh, generous slices of tuna and salmon. Their combination bento box is a meal that I highly recommend. Choose the number and type of entrées to suit your tastes. It is accompanied by salad and miso soup. I tried the appetizer of fried gyoza, six pieces with a dipping sauce. It is a nice accompaniment to the Udon noodle soup that followed. I ordered it with shrimp that was served on the side so that the tempura coating does not become soggy in the broth. This was another good meal. WA Teriyaki and Sushi is now my go-to spot after errands here in Stanton. Do try it if you are in the area. The sushi chef and servers are welcoming...
