Did a HELCO through them, it has been an awful and frustrating experience. 1st time signing, my husband got called back 3 times, each time after he had left the building, because something wasn't done right. Only to have that signing not count at all. They failed to tell us that I needed to come in and also sign paperwork, even though I wasn't on the HELOC. Told us we could use the bill pay feature, to access the HELCO....we couldn't. Told me that I was on the loan now and could come into the branch and pick up the debit card/checks...then was told, nope you can't ( my husband travels for a living and it's difficult for him to get in there). Talked to a representative on the phone, she said debit card should have been done the day of signing, loan officer at the branch, says no, it comes later. I understand rules, and am happy to comply, but when you can't get a consistent answer from ANYONE, it makes it very difficult to make plans and to move forward. If you have a unique situation that doesn't fit inside the typical box, this is not the place to go. The communication is horrible and they all have different answers to the same question. My husband and I have been married for 20 years, and he has been long term traveling for all of them, we have bought 2 houses, and done a refinance, so this isn't our first rodeo, we know the questions to ask, the hoops to jump through. My wife and I just moved to Star. I came in today to become a new member. I have belonged to credit unions for over 30 years and have always appreciated the service they provide. ICCU is about a half mile from my home, very convenient for me.
I came in just after opening, around 9:05 am. It was not crowded but I was second in line. An employee came from a desk and took the person in front of me. I waited for about 30 seconds, then Zach came from behind his desk to help me.
Zach was very nice, and very helpful. Coming from California, people in Idaho are nice in general. Zach was no exception. He explained everything to me, helped me to open checking and savings accounts, issued my debit card, download the app, and add an external link to my Orange County, CA, credit union. Just an overall pleasant and hassle-free experience.
We came a few days later when my wife opened her own account and Lacy assisted us. Again, as it was with Zach, she was very nice and helpful.

I came from Chase since they were unwilling to support me in a banking management system that uses multiple accounts to keep track of my money. ICCU lets you have $0 balances without charging you dumb fees. Their customer service is always on point and ready to help however they can. I just got off the phone with Joey at this specific branch and he helped me untangle a small deposit goose chase and even refunded my duplicate check fee. Talk about going above and beyond for your customers! No issues, I will bank here as long as I live in Idaho. Even thinking about moving my personal banking here.
