I’ve had several frustrating experiences at this location, and unfortunately things seem to be getting worse, not better. Staff are often unfriendly, and there’s a lack of attention to basic customer service. On multiple occasions I’ve purchased espresso beans and been handed them in a thin paper lunch bag that leaks out the bottom, which has led to grounds spilling in my car.
The most recent issue was in May, when I stopped in to buy beans and redeem a free drink credit. I specifically asked for the drink to be rung up using my credit, but instead I was charged for it. A second charge was run for the beans with the credit applied correctly, and I was told the first charge would be refunded. That refund never happened.
I’ve called the store multiple times since then and have been told the issue would be taken care of, but nothing has been resolved. It has now been about a month and the charge is still sitting on my account. To make matters worse, no one answers the phone anymore.
I’m disappointed, especially since this is the closest coffee shop to my house. But at this point I will likely be disputing the charge with my bank and sharing this experience in hopes that the management takes steps to improve how customer concerns...
Read moreI worked at the human bean last year and worked at almost all of the locations. I see there are a lot of new faces and most of them really young. I'm not sure if the training is just lacking or if they don't have enough staff but if you want your Star location to succeed I would suggest hiring someone to train or start hiring people with some barista experience. We only ordered two drinks and they both came out wrong and with little to no flavoring in them. It was too the point where I didn't even want to correct her and have her fix mine because I didn't want another drink that was just as bad. I belive a part of the problem is the employees are not getting compensated fairly, so that they may provide quality service. Your baristas aren't going to provide a quality experience if they aren't receiving quality pay...
Read moreCame here to grab some coffee for the road instead of going to our local place. Staff was dismissive, long wait, our drinks taste awful and had none of the flavors we asked for. Didn’t get whip cream, had to ask for it to be added. Drove away, realized we didn’t get straws and had to go back. Straw was too small and after trying to fish it out of the drink 3 times just gave up (didn’t want coffee all over my truck). Really ruined our morning as we typically don’t go out for coffee. Sitting here with full drinks headed to another shop so these can be replaced and thrown out. Waste of time and money, just a horrible experience all around.
