Subway — Restaurant in Star

To the young man who paid for my sisters meal: Thank you! You did not have to do that. I don’t know your name but he had light blue eyes and curly brown hair. Maybe 17.. or 18. Super friendly and very polite! The reason I’m only giving this 3 star is for the owner. You need to update your store. You need to get a new chip reader machine, you’ve had that thing for YEARS. Time for an update! I would know, i used to work there. I also think you need to give that boy a raise if you haven’t already, which knowing you, you probably haven’t. You need to treat your employees better and this is exactly why you can’t keep any. You fire like crazy and couldn’t give a rip about them or the hard work they provide. Service wasn't bad, but the store was dirty and one employee wasn't even wearing an apron and her hair was in a very loose ponytail. Who knows if her hair was falling into the food and what not.

Also, It was slow when we got there, we were the only customers. You think they would at least sweep or really anything else instead of standing around talking to each other.

What really ruined my experience was when we had sat down to eat, one employee made a sandwich for herself WITHOUT GLOVES!!! I understand the sand which was for herself, so she probably didn't care.. but her bare hands were still in the ingredients. Disgusting.

Why, why do I keep getting Subway? Because I do not learn. If you're tired of pizza and dont feel like cooking and live in a small town then you don't have a ton of options. I tried to order through their app but they never got my order, so not going great. And I empathize with food service and customer service people, I was one for many years, but there is always new staff there and they are not the best. Some of them are awful. I dont know what is going on to cause this sort of work climate but yikes, man. I ordered a Turkey Bacon Avacado sandwich and they forgot the bacon and avacado but said they could offer it on the side and I could put it on myself, defeating the purpose of having someone else make...
