Floors Outlet — Local services in Statesboro

Update: I hate to change my rating, but unfortunately I have to. Our house flooded about a month after we moved in, and we had to have Floors Outlet come back out and redo some of the flooring they had installed the first time around. We worked with Brain again, but it was a very different experience. We had a hard time coordinating with him to get things scheduled, and once we finally did there was a issue that prevented the installer from coming that day (a totally valid reason that we definitely understood and were fine with), but Brian didn't actually let us know he wasn't coming until I called after waiting quite a while after the scheduled time. We weren't actually living in the house because of the repairs, so that was extra frustrating.

Once we finally got the flooring installed, we had to call him back because the installer cut the bottom of our front door off and absolutely butchered it. And only a few days later some of the flooring was slipping away from the wall and showing gaps. Brian did send a carpenter out to fix the door (who did a decent job), but he sent the original installer back to fix the gaps. He pushed them back in place and glued them, but they were already slipping again almost immediately. They "fixed" them again, but they slipped right back out. Months later we had other gaps between boards that weren't an issue before, and that spot is still slipping and we have to push it back into place all the time. We also have a crack in the "nearly indestructible" LVT we put in the kitchen at their recommendation. We didn't drop anything on it, so we have no idea why it cracked. It's so frustrating to see the issues with the flooring, especially since we know the flooring we chose has now been discontinued so we can't do anything about it without purchasing new flooring.

So my advice is to ask who the installer is. If it's Joel, go for it. The areas Joel installed that didn't get redone are still perfect and look fantastic. But the parts done the second time around are poorly installed, and I hate looking at the giant gap in the boards in our main hallway. It's visible from the entire main living area, and I get frustrated every time I see it. I'm leaving my old review, but the rating reflects my more recent experience. (This second experience took place in 2021-2022, but I completely forgot to update the review until I was talking to someone this morning about the whole experience.)

Old review: Brian and Josh (from the store) are so incredibly helpful, and Joel (who did the installation) is so good at what he does. We bought a house and had to move from the one we sold to the new house in 3 days or less. We wanted to install flooring throughout the new house, and they were going to start with the rooms we needed to move first so we could hopefully start moving the second or early the third day. We planned to just put the stuff for the unfinished rooms wherever we could until they were done. But they came in literally a couple hours after closing and they worked super late that night and came back early the next morning. They finished the entire house in two days because they wanted us to be able to move without stressing about the floor. We were beyond grateful.

Joel even went to the store and got a different quarter round for part of the installation because he was worried the white wouldn't look good next to the brick on the fireplace wall. He even stained it to get just the right color. We also had a step down into the living room. They suggested painting the face of the step around that area so it would be easier to see and less likely to trip someone up. It looks AMAZING. We had an awesome experience with Floors Outlet. Brian, the owner, was super helpful in helping us find the perfect flooring for our needs. He encouraged us to take home large samples of the flooring to truly get a good sense of how it would look in our home and to view it at different times of day. This was very helpful as you only get small 4 inch squares from most places, and these were about 3-4 feet each. He also told us which samples had online visualizer tools we could use with photos of our rooms. His explanations and demonstrations of the differences in quality helped us make informed decisions to meet our needs, and his recommendations on how to best install were on point. When Brian was out helping other clients, the rest of the Floors Outlet team were readily available to jump in and give knowledgeable help also. Once the decision was made, they got the order placed the same day, received it quickly, and began install immediately.

The product we chose turned out beautifully! The LVP is high quality and the installation by Joel and his team was professional, courteous, and quick. Joel was easy to work with, and he did a careful and precise large installation with many cuts and customizations needed. He genuinely cared that we were happy with the outcome, and it showed when he was done. It is beautiful!

Absolutely wonderful all around.

When we bought our new home we knew all the floors would need to be replaced. They were in rough condition. It was a big job.

I chose to go to Floors Outlet because it is local and the reviews were good.

We worked with Josh as our salesman. He worked with us to choose the best flooring and carpet within our price range. He was patient and informative. He even allowed me to text him with questions later on as they came up. He was wonderful to work with.

Brian, the owner, is also great. He worked with me on the overall price of the installation so that it was all within my budget. He also kept me informed on the process as the materials came in and when the installation team would be there.

If I had any questions and had to call the store, Pam was super nice every time and got my questions answered right away.

Joel and his installation team were phenomenal. They got our large 3000+ sq ft house done in 4.5 days. This included moving furniture around. They were always here on time and worked around me as I worked from home. They communicated every step of the way and their work was well done. There are no gaps in the LVP and everything is snug to the walls. The carpets are perfect and well installed as well.

I was very impressed and happy with this company. I would recommend them for your floors. They’re wonderful...
