I have been here several times and I have only had one cup worth drinking, which is NOT saying a lot with how much I love coffee. However, the one good cup was quickly ruined by me and my two friends being asked to leave because we were at a lunch table that was not marked with a sign or anything. I would kinda understand if there wasn't another customer sitting alone at a lunch table that was marked clearly with a large sign without getting lunch and being there longer than us. We were not being loud and just ordered our drinks before starting our homework. Also, I was talking to a former barista who worked there that informed me that they just buy there baked goods from Kroger and re-wrap them to make it look like they make them in-house. Honestly really disappointed, I wish that they were decent but with there being such a high quality of coffee places in Statesboro its quite honestly not worth the time or money. I usually advise local coffee shops, but in this case unfortunately even Starbucks is far...
Read moreChicken salad sandwich was delicious. Macchiato was good. Was a cute and charming place.... HOWEVERRRR, in the middle of taking a test, just after I got done eating, one of the worker or owner asked my classmate and I if we can go sit at the bar so others can sit and eat. Never have that happened to me anywhere, no matter how busy it gets. Not sure if it had anything to do with me and a classmate not being the same race as everyone else in there, BECAUSE we were the only two of color. There were other tables with people there WAYYY BEFORE us... rude. On top of that, it wasn't a please can you guys go sit there or would you consider sitting at the bar. Nope, basically telling us to. Oh and did I forget to mention, the barista brought me a Togo box not even halfway to eating my sandwich? Now thinking of those two occurrences, I didn't feel welcomed at all. I'm sure this place is loved by the community but do better with servicing and treating others all equally. First and last time going here...
Read moreThis spot is cute and quaint. I like that they offer oat milk alternative (gave them 2 stars for that and fair pricing). The chocolate milk was nice and creamy. Gave them low stars because of the hard to overlook poor customer service. The lady at the counter was very stand offish and seemed bothered by my presence (Iâm racially mixed). She made weird facial expressions like I was asking something stupid when I asked if they could make the hot chocolate dairy free. She was warm and kind to the 2 white ladies before and after me. Maybe Iâm over thinking it, or maybe itâs because Iâm not a local or maybe itâs because I was the only person wearing a mask. Either way - I left there with an unwelcoming spirit. The opposite feeling I want when going to a cozy local cafe. FYI the girl had long dark hair. Tip to the owner - consider hiring more diverse staff youâll be surprised how that adds to...
