This is the second time I've eaten anything from here or drank any of their beer. The first time was a YEAR ago. I was hoping they got better... well, hopes shattered. I'm not sure how this place even has a 4-star review. You serve yourself terrible beers and food. We got the nachos the first time, and the queso was so watery that it turned our nachos into soup. This last time, we got fried pickels and mozzarella sticks. I'm not kidding when I say 9 bucks for CUT pickle spears where you get 10 oddly shaped unbattered pieces?? Who cuts the spear?! It's a rip-off, and the moz sticks were from a bag, very basic. No flavor to anything, as I'm pretty sure everything is made with water and a dash of seasoning. I've been all over the country and visited MANY breweries. This is the WORST we've ever been to. This place needs to focus on beer OR food, not both. Also, the hostess wasn't friendly at all. Save your money, and bump a few steps down to...
Read moreWe stopped into Eagle Creek BC while in town and we're glad we did. The open area seating leaves plenty of room for everyone and it's not to loud either. Ken("not Ken") was very helpful with his food advice and really knew the beer that I selected with information on all 3. I tried the Nature Boy first and it didn't have the overpowering bourbon barrel flavor, next the Cool Beanz and having the coffee beans from a local shop roasted in house really made for a great beer. Lastly the Georgia Tea Party with the 20 gallons of sweet tea gave a hint of tea and a nice color. The brussel sprouts and smoked gouda mac n cheese bites are a must have for sure, the onion rings had a light batter that really made them flavorful and light. I had the Beyond meat burger with very fresh toppings and my wife had a traditional burger that she said was cooked perfectly with great flavor. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend...
Read moreDecent beer, needs fine tuning, as well as expanded hours. Only four local brewed selections, and one "special tapping", which was OK at best. However, it is located 3 blocks from the location of the new-ish courthouse (built ~1990) where the fire station was located, at which I did my EMT-Basic training 32 years prior. BALLSY, near a courthouse!! I never would have imagined a brewery in the 'Boro, even, much less by a courthouse..
Dude behind the bar was maybe 22, 24 years old if you pushed it, and was behind the aforementioned special beer above. He couldn't really explain it well, limited knowledge base, but have the IBU down to the .1 percent. Nor was he familiar with other well established, since 1989, i.e. Boulevard Brewery, breweries. I hope to return in a couple years, and give this brewery a 5, and have several other breweries in the...
