Had a very poor experience with this location when I came to donate. I let them know when I arrived that I was in town from Savannah and would be around waiting for them to finish processing the girl who took my order told me it would be 3-4 hours at most. My friend came with me and we dropped off together her order was ready, and for mine they told me it would be ready the next day. When I expressed that I didn’t want to make the drive again they told me the only option was to cancel the order so I agreed and when they gave me my things back they told me the donated things were taken already. So they sorted my clothes decided what they would keep and what they would donate but didn’t have a quote for me. So I got a cancelled order with half of my things back. So I lost clothes and got no money back. Which is fine I get that I agreed to donate what I didn’t want, but the customer service was very poor they were unapologetically rude. No sense of regard for my travel...
Read moreI’ve had a great experience with Uptown Cheapskate both buying and selling clothes. Their selection is always on trend and super affordable. I’ve found everything from cute basics to name-brand pieces at a fraction of the original price. It’s a great place to refresh your wardrobe without breaking the bank.
On the selling side, the process is really straightforward. I brought in a few gently worn items, and they looked through everything quickly while I shopped around. I appreciated that they were transparent about what they could take and why. I ended up getting a fair offer and could choose between cash or store credit (which gives you a bit more value).
Overall, whether you’re looking to sell a few pieces or score a great deal on something stylish, Uptown Cheapskate is definitely worth checking out. Friendly staff, clean store, and constantly rotating...
Read moreUptown Cheapskate is a fantastic concept, but the selling process could be much improved with better communication. It's frustrating when items are not accepted after only a couple items were looked at .It would be incredibly helpful if A brief detail like "not our current style," "has a small stain," or "we're not taking that brand right now" has an odor etc. This way, sellers would know what to bring in the future, making the process smoother for EVERYONE and ensuring you get items you can actually sell! simple act of communication would allow us, as sellers, to understand your buying criteria better, enabling us to bring in more of the items you truly want and can sell. It's a win-win for everyone! And much less time being waisted on both ends. More harmony less stress that...
