Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Statesboro

The food here was good, however we were overcharged for our meals. My husband ordered the $8.99 meal deal but was charged $8.99 for the burger and then $4.99 for making it a combo. I questioned the young lady about the charges and she said that was the cost, however on the sign it plainly stated the meal deal was the burger, fries and drink for $8.99. The sign on the door stating this was the reason we decided to give it a try. Our total ended up being $38.29 for two burger meals and an order of cheese curds. I took my family of 5 there for lunch. We expected to spend money on lunch, but it was $96 for 2 adults and 3 kids. That was fine, but what was not fine was waiting well over an hour for our food. Our milkshakes came out in about 15 minutes. The rest of the food took another hour. I wouldn't have minded the wait for the food if it was hot, fresh, and actually good.. So I walked out without buying or eating anything tonight after waiting to try this new burger place. I love a good burger. With that said, I figured out why this place is called Wayback Burger. It will set your wallet "wayback" for not much of a product. An order of tater tots to go with my burger is $5? I'm sure it's probably good food but I'm not gonna pay $20 for a burger, tots and a drink. I know things are more expensive these days but I can still cook cheaper at home. I wanted to try this new place but as a single income household I can't justify...
