I would give it like a B- as it's getting situated as a new place. They have quite a few kinks to work out. I went a little later in the day with a friend and we had a couple in front of us. It wasn't clear if we should seat ourselves or to wait so I asked because the couple could've been waiting to order to go. Once sat, service was sweet but I didn't get all the ingredients in my meal and had to ask for it which was handled well!, nor did I get the side for what I order which I found out later, it came with. I completely understand it being hectic, maybe first time service workers where the mind is going a mile a minute but we did mention splitting the check and that didn't happen which is what it is, we rolled with it but it was just added onto everything else. I ordered for pick up a separate time and they didnt take payment over the phone nor tell me when I should come in to pick up so I waited about 20-30mins, food wasn't ready. I waited an additional 10mins roughly in the restaurant. They handed me the bag directly without charging me which, i did inform them i didnt pay. Also, not enough chocolate syrup in the chocolate milk haha but all good!
I would've ordered online but the site on here, I couldn't figure out how too and could only call because I came in previously and got the to go menu which had the phone number. I did request to add it on here. The website has a 1800 number.
They have so much potential, be patient, be kind, be understanding 🩵 I still have high hopes and hope everyone doesn't experience all of these things like I did. I'll give them time before coming back. I love my breakfast food and food...
Read moreI finally had a chance to eat here at the new Statesboro location. It was packed and there was a little wait. But, my daughter and I enjoyed it! We ordered the Great American Cheeseburger & The Grand Classic. My burger was cooked to order with no cheese and add bacon. Very tasty and love that even the bun was toasted. My daughter's eggs were cooked to order as over medium and done just how she likes them. The grits were creamy, with no lumps. The bacon and sausage were thoroughly cooked and not too fatty. We both also tried some of the homefries. These were cooked softly but done thoroughly. No undercooked potatoes here! Reminded me of how my Granny used to make them. We also tried 3 count croissant-style donuts. So flaky, buttery, and served warm. Our server was Justin and he did a great job keeping our drinks filled, checking on us, letting us know when food would be ready, etc. We were kind of ravenous when we went in. I was told it would be a 25-30 minute wait but, it was more like 15 minutes, and we were seated. So glad we finally got to try it! We will definitely return. So happy to have another great place to enjoy in Statesboro! Let me also mention how clean the silverware was. No suspicious stains or water spots as I unfolded my napkin. And, I love all the condiments on the table. This is nice to have it on hand as your food arrives. And, it was clean. No sticky syrup bottles, or...
Read moreMy recent visit to Eggs Up Grill left me with a somewhat mixed, yet ultimately positive impression, especially regarding the food's quality. I was eager to try their breakfast offerings, and indeed, the wet battered chicken was a standout – perfectly crisp, well-cooked, and an excellent match for the hot honey. The seasoned fries were equally delicious, adding a satisfying crunch to the meal.
However, the main point of contention for me was the portion size in relation to the price. For what isn't a cheap breakfast, I genuinely expected more food. Receiving only one very small pancake with my chicken, and an additional tiny one costing extra, felt quite underwhelming. Similarly, while my Texas Omelet tasted great, I found myself wishing for a more substantial plate given the cost. A bill of around $40 for just two people, without appetizers, felt steep for the quantity provided.
Despite these concerns about value, the service was generally good, and the atmosphere was pleasant, even with some ongoing renovations. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Turkey Avocado Club, and the home fries, while having a slight kick, were flavorful and very good. While the flavors are certainly there, I'd likely only consider returning if the portions become more generous or the pricing becomes more competitive. It's a good place for breakfast, but the value proposition could definitely...
