I Love Aldi's!! I don't know why I resisted going here for so long, but my finances finally forced me to check it out due to urging if friends. What a find! The prices and quality of the products are amazing. I can get good quality wine for 2.88 a bottle! I cook with wine a lot and this was a big help to me. Their Clancy brand of snack foods like chips, pretzels, corn chips are better than the big name brands you see in supermarkets. All their dairy products are top notch. Their name brand Happy Valley products are excellent. Their middle aisle has all kinds if great finds. I bought a mandoline there for under 5 bucks that I have used almost every day in my kitchen since. I have found the best pencil thin asparagus there for a great price. Fresh mushrooms are always a great value from there. Their frozen food section has many excellent values. Their frozen veggies are not only a great value, but fantastic quality. Their baby peas and sweet corn are as close to fresh as you can get. They also have a frozen 2 pack of outstanding new York style cheesecake slices that come in many flavors (the turtle is to die for!), and at 1.99 for 2 slices, it can't be beat. Other great bargains are their thin slices of pork tenderloin, which are tender as can be and cook fast for a quick dinner, Kerrygold butter which they sell for almost 2 dollars cheaper than supermarkets, their chunk and sliced cheeses, yogurt, and canned goods. I could go on and on, but if you have never been to Aldi's because you think its not as good as a supermarket, you need to give them a try. Be aware that you do have to bag your own groceries and most people supply their own bags, but you can purchase bags for a very small fee. You do need a quarter to get a shopping buggy, but to keep their lot cart free, you get your quarter back when your cart is returned. Many Aldi shoppers however are happy to pay it forward and pass their cart on to others in the parking lot. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAldi has low prices and extremely quick checkout. I love that. I come here about once a month or so to stock up on dry and canned goods and things like that. I'll pick up veggies and dairy products too, but it's a little out of the way for me to go every week. I bought bacon today at about $3.60 per 16 ounce package! You can't beat that. I skip over the paper products because you can find them cheaper elsewhere. Same with eggs (usually, sometimes they are a good deal). I like to look at the random stuff they have, but it's usually not worth it. Still I have bought several things, lol. Remember to bring your own reusable shopping bags, and remember to bring a quarter for the shopping cart. You do get the quarter back, that's just how they get you to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAldi is my favorite grocery store for basics. Few of the items are name brands and most are Aldi proprietary brands. Some of those Aldi brands we like but others our family does not. One of my favorite pluses of the store is the smaller size. Since they only carry one brand of most items shopping there is very quick. And I really don't care what the brand is of sugar, salt, canned tomatoes, flower, Etc. The prices are excellent on a daily basis - no waiting for sales. I am not a fan of the produce at my local store. Things seem to spoil much faster. While others seem to like the meat selection, I am not. Store is clean and...
