Quickway Japanese Hibachi — Restaurant in Virginia

Completely disgusted and never going back, and if anyone is reading this, please pay close attention to preparers of your food. I’d gone in last night around 930ish. When I walked in, it appeared as that they were already prepping to close (chairs had been sat on the table and there was an employee mopping). Upon seeing me come in, the employee sits the mop and mop bucket to the side against the wall near the drink machine, and gets behind the counter. She does NOT bother to wash her hands and proceeds, bare-handed, to prepare my noodles and vegetables, after having played in her hair and wiping her face. The employee who took my order, never changed gloves and still continued to cook the chicken on the grill. At this point, I’m seething and short of nauseous. The ONLY person that exhibited any awareness of sound hygiene was the other employee that seemed to be cleaning out the freezer (or ice machine). I saw her wash her gloves and hands. Mind you, there was another time I’d gone to the restaurant, and there were other patrons there. The same employee that was mopping had to be directly told to wash her hands before handling others food, and they seemingly caught an attitude for having to be told to be hygienically sound. I’d honestly thought that this time would be different. It most definitely was not. That was the last time I patronize this restaurant as there is no emphasis or accountability for cleanliness as it pertains to food preparation or hygiene....

For the compelling price of just 8 dollars I was greeted with a beautifully presented Chicken and fried noodle Bento accompanied by steamed vegetables, California Rolls, Egg Rolls, and Gyoza for an exceptional meal to enjoy all alone in my car set within a vacant run down parking lot overlooking the sight of what used to be a bustling movie theater. A bountiful and hearty feast fit for Oda Nobunaga himself, SONKEI SURU! My expectations were instantaneously subverted upon tasting each item of the meal. All the flavors and textures experienced can be swiftly described within four words. "It's not that bad". Ridiculously low cost, high quantities of Japanese takeout served under 5 mins that I can imagine both hungry college students and disgusting basement dwelling otaku alike can enjoy at any given moment when too lazy to walk the extra seven steps to the left or right to enter Jersey mikes or chipotle to receive an arguably more fulfilling lunch or dinner....

Not my first rodeo with this restaurant chain. I would deem it as an excellent value to taste establishment. You typically get good portions for each entree. Runs you about 15$. The downside is the condiments seemed to be limited and somewhat rationed. I have gotten in the habit of keeping soy sauce around for this establishment. Even bringing my own bottle in. This location score low of customer due to an incident where the lady bagging the prepared meals. Looked me dead in the face as I was telling her that the meal in the bag with the orange crush soda is mine. Proceeds to take my chicken and beef bento out and give it to another customer. Leaving me confused because she took the same meal off the assembly seconds later and put it into my bag. I waited an additional few minutes to settle myself before stepping up to claim my food.
