Saubel's in Stewartstown, Pa is really going down hill. They hired a female cashier I guess back in the summer of 2021 and she has to be the rudest person. I went to her to check out and paid for my groceries and was handed the receipt. I guess Saubel's is doing so good that they no longer need to thank customers for shopping there anymore. This cashier did not say thank you.
My wife went to Saubel's today and went to this same cashier. My wife said hello and asked how the cashier was doing. Being polite. With that being said, the cashier did not respond with nothing. My wife then told the cashier that she was very rude.
This is the second encounter with this cashier and both times we're not pleasant.
With the times that we all are living in these days with businesses struggling, you would think that at least you would be treated like a person and not a number. Not at Saubel's in Stewartstown. Read moreThe Stewartstown cashiers are from Hell and their managers may as well be Satan. They are rude, mean spirited, arrogant, and completely disingenuous. Try and inquire with them on any mistake they may make, any pricing issue, or any coupons you want to use, and just watch the sarcastic, lazy, attitudes emerge like magic.
They will fight you tooth and nail before they honor their own store policy to allow one manufacture and one store coupon on the same item. This policy is usually in place accept for certain coupon promotional periods. Both cashiers and managers appear trained to bite the hands that help feed them.
If you want savings in this economy or even a pretense to customer service skip this Saubels and go to Walmart 6 miles up the road in Shrewsbury. The food is cheaper, you won't get as much guff for using a store and manufacture coupon together, and the staff at least pretend to appreciate the customers helping to pay...

Then one day, gone. No more. I even went back a few years later and explained to the bakery what I wanted. The baker said "hmm that sounds good" then just looked at me expectantly.
Management, please, I'll wash your cars everyday for a month, bring back the sprinkle covered...
