Game X Change — Local services in Stillwater

I am doing a review for my sister as she isn't able to.... She went to buy a Nintendo game controller. The lady at the store convinced her to buy an off brand controller, saying if she didn't like it, she could return it. It didn't turn on her machine with the home button, so she took it back the next day. The same lady was working, so my sister thought it would be simple to return. The lady told her that no remote home button turned the game on, that that is not what the home button is used for. That she has the animal crossing remote at home, and it doesn't turn hers on. ( I, myself, have the animal crossing remote, and I have never touched my console to turn my switch on. I have always used the controller.) The lady said the controller was not used for that, it was only to get you to the home page when console was already on. Then she said they could argue about it all day, but she was the manager, and wouldn't take the controller back. Saying, she didn't say my sister could return it if she didn't like it. All stores have a return policy, and she refused to follow it. My sister would not have left the store with an off brand controller, had the lady not talked her into trying it with the possibility of return. (My niece was there both times to talk to the lady. Saying the lady got very rude about it, when my sister tried to return it, like the lady said they could.) UPDATE: THE REMOTE HAD ISSUES AND DIDN'T WORK CORRECTLY. (IT MADE HER CHARACTER MOVE WHEN SHE WASNT TOUCHING THE REMOTE.) MY SISTER DID RETURN IT, TO A DIFFERENT EMPLOYEE. SHE ORDERED A NEW REMOTE FROM AMAZON... BELIEVE IT OR NOT - THE NEW REMOTE TURNS HER MACHINE ON AND OFF, WITHOUT HER TOUCHING...

Beware purchasing tablets here. I called looking for a Kindle; was told they had none, but then they called back to inform me they DID have a Paperwhite. So extra star for that. However, when I picked it up, I noticed that it was a different color. My mom noticed it was smaller than we saw at Best Buy. I asked what year, and they said 2022; red flag 'cause the newest release was '21. Still, I really wanted one, and it was only $80. They didn't have the paperwork (someone didn't do their job) so no information on it. Mom also looked at a Samsung tablet they had, but they couldn't even tell her what model it was and pulled out a measuring tape when asked what size. In the car, I took a closer look and saw the microusb charge port; new gens have usbC. Plugged it in, turned it on (didn't realize it had a charge already), and checked. It was a Gen 10, not 11 like they implied. The only reasons I didn't return it right them was 1. I had gone all around town that night trying to buy a Kindle for my b-day and 2. They'd already said returns under warranty were for store credit; I prefered the device over store credit, and the price was still good for that gen. TL;DR - Do your research and know what you're looking for because they don't know...

I absolutely love gamexchange and I've spent about $5,000 with this location. I would always recommend them however the lady with the red hair is very rude and unprofessional. I had 2 people helped before me when I was ready to check out before those people even entered the store and some gentlemen came in wanting to to sell 3 box fulls of items and she was rude to them as well. I really love gamexchange and it genuinely upsets me to see me and my fellow gamers be treated this way. I also had an issue with them holding an item for me and sending my girlfriend to pick it up. I spoke with the lady on the phone and she lied to me and said she was going to put my girlfriends information onto the hold ticket, when my girlfriend got there it wasn't until the awesome gentleman with the earing came out that i was able to get my item. The red head lady was trying to say my girlfriend couldnt pick it up after telling me on the phone she could. Great store stay away from red hair lady. Everyone else is extremely helpful and respectful and will actually listen/recommend games and whatnot. Would have rated 5 stars if it...
