At the time of writing this, this is Stillwater's newest Mexican restaurant. The time we choose to go wasn't too terribly busy so we were quickly set and quickly served.
They brought out chips and salsa immediately. They had two types of salsa, a red regular salsa and a green creamy salsa. They also had some herbed pickled carrots. The regular salsa was just okay but the creamy green salsa was spicy with good flavor and very delicious. I also asked for a spicier salsa and they had one. They brought it out and I didn't find it to be much spicier but it had a very nice smokey flavor to it.
As an appetizer we had choriqueso and it was good. I felt like the ratio of chorizo and queso were melded well and it made it nice to eat.
I decided to get something that I wouldn't normally order because it sounded interesting. It is a vegetarian chimichanga. I was surprised by how delicious it was and it had many different vegetables inside. The rice and beans had a nice flavor and the meal was good overall.
My partner had a molcajete which had the nicest presentation I've ever seen any restaurant we've gone to. The strips of meat and cactus and peppers were all cut in such a way that they draped over the bowl and inside was even more deliciousness. The meat was tender, the peppers and the Napoli's had a good flavor. Overall it too was a really good dish.
Upon first impressions, this is a good place to go eat. It's a little bit pricier than the other places but I feel that their presentation and flavors make up for the...
Read moreThe ownership was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. We were there for over an hour and not another single person entered the establishment. We realized the next day she left her purse. We called and went immediately when they opened to get it. They had taken $200 cash from her purse. We contacted ownership and they stated that they would check the film & call us back - 7 days later I finally called back today and asked about my wife’s purse. He immediately started screaming saying they didn’t take her money and he wasn’t speaking to me any more and to call the cops if I wanted to & hung up the phone on me. Unethical and inhospitable - I’d rather go to Taco Bell. Save your money on overpriced imitation food and find another, better place to spend your...
Read moreThe food 10/10. Reminded me of Tex Mex but gosh darn delicious. Free chips like most Mexican restraints BUT FREE TORTILLAS 🤤. In addition, I got the Mexican dinner and it was mouth watering. All the meat reminded of fajita meat which I love. At the end, we had sopapia and guys. MMMMMMM 🤤🤤🤤. From my boyfriend end, he got a pina colada and it was HUUUUGE, he enjoyed it a lot. We got the chorizo queso, I'm usually not a chorizo girly but this knocked me out of the park. It is a tad expensive but well worth it and for the portions reasonable. If you want Mexican food in Stillwater come here, you won't regret it. My family has a Tex max resturant in Texas, so I know good Tex mex/ Mexican. 10/10 don't wait. It's...
