ALDI — Local services in Stonecrest

I typically love aldi but this one is lacking. There is a weirdly low amount of carts and the cashiers are not friendly or seem to value customer experience.

For example: I bought a jar of minced garlic in olive oil. For whatever reason, it wasn’t sealed shut even though the plastic safety seal was intact around the edge. So on the way home, it leaked all over my aldi insulated bag, staining it visibly and with a rotten garlic stench.

Obviously I can not use unsealed food, so I took it back to the store for Aldi’s “twice as nice” guarantee. And I was hoping to swap out the gross garlicky bag with a new bag since they are expensive bags.

I waited until there was no line at the front and approached a cashier. I told her the problem and she simply grabbed the bag with the garlic in it and told me to grab a new one. The interaction made it clear she did not care about the twice as nice guarantee or the fact that aldi could be selling more faulty garlic containers.

Maybe I just have my standards of customer service a little too high but it did not make me feel valued or...

I have to say that this is a hard review to write but it must be written. I have been going to this store since it opened and the decline over the years is just beyond disappointing. The store is messy, some of the staff are rude/dismissive and talking amongst each other instead of greeting the customers even while checking them out. I know how it use to be plus the fact that I have a completely different experience at another store is what's so frustrating. It's almost like no one cares about this store and a discount odd lot location. They never have what's on sale in store on the day its suppose to be there. The produce is never fresh and not kept in the same manner as the other stores. Signage is non existent at times. I hear gumblings every time on the rare occasion I go here about many of the same things. After which I realize why I stop going here and vow to not come back again. It's a shame because ever store should have the same experience and this store is so far from where it should be and where...

This place is the weakest link, like I don’t think y’all understand how this is the worst Aldi I’ve ever been to, I come to this one all the time and I’m always disappointed, you can tell how much the employees hate their jobs and their customers, the fruits are always moldy, I don’t write reviews but I’m just so upset, I’ve worked for Aldi for 3 years in the past and my store never carried this type of atmosphere, you don’t feel welcomed, and the fact it’s in a predominantly black neighborhood I’m just disgusted how WE the customers/consumers are treated, like companies already don’t like black people and it’s proven that we are provided the “low grade” products .. so we already fighting a battle within are community so to have the employees on top of that to be low vibrations it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth, :( ….. I love Aldi so much!!! So please if anyone sees this is it possible to talk to you staff and security guard about customer service, we are supposed to be there for each other not knock...
