Hong Kong Garden — Restaurant in Stonecrest

Been going to this place as one of my favorites for chinese food within the last few years. My wings & rice combo I like to order here always been on point where plus the wings are good-sized wings while most of the time where its cooked just right while not overcooked-to-dry-chicken-wings.

They need to work on their customer service a lot more, There been times where some people would call to place their order then they never answer the phone where you have to come in to place an order then wait for a good bit sometimes before they get started on your order unless its kinda a slow-time-of-day where not too many customers coming in. Also been times where the customer is polite yet the workers that work there tend to show the "hurry-up-n-buy"/unhappy-to-work-here vibes that can turn some people off where they don't want to come back as a customer.

Overall I give this place a 3.5 stars (The ".5" is half of a full star).

Only reason they don't deserve the full 5 stars is because of the customer service overall that's really lacking while in the long run that can hurt any food/restaurant business (besides the scenario when the food not cooked/handed right also can be a factor that determines how long your food/restaurant business stays...

I ordered here 2 times and both the food was ok the orange chicken was very chewy though . The 3rd time I was ordered I got the same thing but I called back and decided to change my order I wanted to try some different . So after I ordered OVER THE PHONE I came into the store about 15 minutes later and when I asked the man I was here for a pick up he kept saying there is nothing listed for me. So the lady that works there walks up & says " oh I didn't put it in because I didn't know if you was going to actually come because you called and changed the order. I was so mad because what kind of company does this. The whole purpose of me calling ahead was so I don't have to wait for no food . I won't be coming back I'll find a new Chinese restaurant to go to in Lithonia & she always have a fussy attitude and they have there kids wondering around the place and take cash order . Consistency! That is a lot of these restaurants problem! I use to go to this place in highschool 10+ years ago. Came last week for the first time in yearsssss, during lunch food was great ordered vegetable fried rice and braised wing combo. Pricing is great $10, food was hot and delicious. Love that they put water chestnuts and bean sprouts in their rice (iykyk)😌. Customer service a little snappy. I came back this week for dinner and my food was horrible. I ordered the same exact thing and the wings look like they made them and then put them back in grease and the rice was off. I DON'T CARE WHAT TIME IT IS IN THE DAY! FOOD SHOULD ALWAYS BE CONSISTENT!
