Island Quizine and Grill — Restaurant in Stonecrest

My mom and I came to try the beef patties. She decided to order jerk chicken and I also got stew chicken. They didn’t have beef patties, so I got chicken. It was obviously curry chicken because once I bit into it, it was definitely spicy. I enjoyed it still. Also, when I opened my plate I had oxtails and not stew chicken. That was okay too because I really did want to try the oxtails. The service was good. The young man who helped us was very direct and straight to the point about our order and what was and was not available. The food area was very clean and so was the rest of the front area. There isn’t a place to sit in here, so you will be doing carry-out. The parking garage lot is small. The entire building is attached/connected to a gas station convenience store. There is a lot of traffic in and out of here. Be careful if you pull straight into a spot and are trying to back out. I totally forgot to get pictures of my food because I went straight to the school for an event. Please give this hole in the wall spot a chance. At one time I ate at this place 3 to 4 times a week and gave them five stars, 😔because the food was good. The portions was larger, and the prices was once reasonable. But over the last year, the quality of the food and the portion dropped. The cabbage🍀 is THE WORST I've ever eaten in my life. 😬IT tastes like eating shards of candle wax🤢. I usually bring it home and wind up throwing it in the garbage, until realizing how much I was paying to smell up my garage. I purchased 3 lunch curry chicken specials on 7/10/17. I was surprising to of my coworkers with lunch. I was the one surprised. I didn't know the food was scorched until we sat down to eat for lunch. I called the restaurant concerning the issue. No resolution at all. I was planning to have food catered for lunch later for my employees.
