Bayou Seafood — Restaurant in Stonecrest

I was looking for somewhere different to get seafood and I saw some great reviews for this place so I decided to give them a shot. ordered online, had it delivered through Postmates.

I will say that the coleslaw looked more like salad with some sauce on it, was very sweet but it was good. also the gumbo was very tasty with the right amount of spice, the shrimp po boy could have used a lot more remoulade sauce, was slightly dry, no pickles or anything on it, just a few bits of lettuce but a lot of shrimp. I somewhat remedied the dryness by adding some of the very sweet coleslaw. I also ordered fried okra but since I ordered online with delivery it was slightly cool by the time I got it but I fixed that by just dropping it in a little Grease to heat and crisp it up....

This place is in my neighborhood; literally down the street from where I live. I could walk here on a nice day. It shares the side lot of a gas station and is across from a Walgreens. The lot is busy, but there aren’t a lot of people hanging around outside like some gas stations. This restaurant is fairly busy. Lots of people in and out. I ordered the catfish with broccoli. I enjoyed my meal and the price was good. I paid less than $10 for my meal. The portions were big and everything was well-seasoned. I’d definitely stop in here again if I were in the mood for inexpensive seafood. There isn’t a lot of parking, but people are in and out so fast that you don’t wait for a spot to park. This is my 3rd time eating here... The first 2 times my food was fine BUT TODAY, I'm highly disappointed!!! My fish was NOT cooked thoroughly and I absolutely HATE undercooked fish.. This was also my first time paying attention to the prices because I always have paid with EBT and the $1 cash to cook it... Well they CHARGED ME TAX on EBT!!! They probably have done this each time I've came, but I totally didn't pay attention before... If you are paying with EBT, make sure they are not illegally charging you tax...
