This kroger seems to be on it's way to be gentrified and closed just like Wallmart N.M. Covington hwy, Kroger Memorial Drive Stone mountain, Publix South Hairston, and Sams Club Stonecrest Lithonia. All shut down within last maybe 2 years. seems the residents of this neighborhood Kroger nor employees of all the shops in this area have any care nor concern to offer CLEAN, SAFE NOR SANITARY shopping experience. I'd prefer to deal with self checkout or a robot than a dry clerk or cashier or manager that doesn't treat shoppers like human beings or positive and friendly much like these other locations that were closed . Sam's Stone crest had some of the SLOWEST worse check out lines in America. Real unacceptable. So I see things here going the same way. I shop all over Georgia from Woodstock to Sugar Hill to Buford Georgia and everywhere in between. So I know what clean, sanitary and safe Wallmart, Sam's, Kroger and Publix looks like and this is NOT it. Photos show what we deal with whenshopping off Covington Highway and Dekalb Medical Drive intersection. Very sad for those who will loose their neighborhood to gentrification because of hepititis , ecoli, etc etc etc out breaks from unclean, and unsanitary shopping plazas inside and outside. It's very sad and happens all over where there are large concentration of my own black people. We must do better or lose it forever. Post signs that there is $2000 fine and 30 days in jail for literlitt and keeping your neighborhood unclean. Something!!! Gotta happen otherwise don't care if this one...
Read moreThis place has finally become un shoppable. Over the last year or two this store has gone downhill. The renovation didn't help. Same store basically just repainted and move some shelves. This store has become overcrowded, and the quality of fellow shoppers going down, and it must because they're now treating customers like potential thieves.
Twice I've been here recently and when I go to walk out the wheels on my cart just locks and then security wants to check my receipt! Man I'm done shopping here, the first time it happened the cart stopped so hard I almost flipped the cart over. Security guard says checking receipts is random, so the carts are randomly just locking up so you can stop people. Yeah sure if that's the case that's discrimination and Kroger will be getting a lawsuit from someone. I've been shopping here for years and never seen where the cart just locks up, what's the point of self checkout if your going to stop me and check my receipt for something I've already paid for!
Long story short this place is becoming a mess and even with the dozens of cameras they have installed they can't prevent theft? Im not spending my money anywhere where the cart "randomly" locks up so security can see If I'm a thief or not, I paid for the items before I walked out the store.
So if you walk out the store you gotta wonder if the carts is going to lock up on you, I'm trying to leave and you guys are...
Read moreLike most grocery stores in "our" area, this store is under served compared to Krogers in "their" neighborhood. Shelves are sparse and lines are long. It seems as if corporate/management have given up on this store.
Maybe its the pandemic but I shop at other Krogers (Scottsdale/N.Decatur Rd) and it's so nice in those stores.
EDIT: Updating and warning.
Be very cautious. This store is selling Kroger money orders....but Kroger's not cashing ANY money orders. Also they're hard to cash at other cash spots. Why would Kroger sell the money orders and not honor them when it's time to cash them? This is a scam. This is mostly happening in Black/Middle class neighborhoods.
These stores / store managers are enforcing this no money order policy (even the ones they sell) while still selling these useless money orders.
The money order was sold to a client at the Kroger on Cascade Road which will not honor the money order.
The following Kroger stores also will not honor their Kroger money orders (or any money order)
Flat Shoals - Store: #475 Manager: Mr. Mongo Wesley Chappel - Store: #375 Manager: Erica Walker S. Harrison - Store: #354 Manager: Edward Orr Memorial Dr - Store: #303 Manager: Ms Nadja N. Decatur Rd - Store: #459 Manager: Tommy Gladen
Kroger should not issue anymore money orders until this is resolve. Or there should be a strict warning from the cashier before selling these...
