New to fitness/commuter cycling. I have demonstrated respect to the team there and have been met with respect, kindness and education. Nate has been fantastic! Was able to get my new-to-me bike serviced and setup for me. He took the time to explain things to me and make recommendations. Upon getting the cycle home, I started to tinker, adding accessories like one does - a luggage rack, fenders, panniers, etc. I got hung up on the front fender install. The next day, he took my phone call, invited me to swing by during some of their slower afternoon hours to take a peek. He did exactly that. Helped me out and had me back on the road in 15 mins. Again, his service and expertise was accompanied by kindness and generosity.
City Cycle is a small business. Although they may take a day or two longer to get your cycle in and out, when compared to larger operations, they set proper expectations, communicated thoroughly, were reasonably priced and the service was the highest level. Very grateful to become a customer at City Cycle. Looking forward to my next visit &...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came into City Cycle last night with the full intention of buying a brand new bike. I like to support local businesses and felt it was a win-win with this place being relatively close to where I live. The store was semi busy when I came in, so I decided to browse the bikes with my girlfriend for a few minutes. Once the customers left I stood in the middle of the store to get help but the employees (four of them on duty) walked by me like I didnāt exist. I continued to wait in the middle of the store trying to get help and make eye contact, and everyone continued to walk by me like I was invisible. Twice an older woman who worked there looked us in the eye while walking by and said nothing like she couldnāt be bothered with us. This went on for about 5-7 minutes until I turned to my girlfriend and we agreed that this place would never get a dime from us. Iāve never encountered such rude and poor service in a store, and will spread the word to my family and friends to avoid this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCity Cycle had an awesome selection of Trek bicycles. Eric helped me and my daughter get "just-right" bicycles. We selected Trek Marlin 5 because we like to ride a little bit aggressively off-road, but we also do a lot of bike-trail riding too. We added kickstands and racks to our bicycles. The Marlin 5 has 2 by 8 gearing, hydraulic disc brakes, and an aluminum frame. It is great that City Cycles will do a 60 day tune up too. I think the brakes might need to be adjusted after break-in. The bicycles are smooth, quiet, and fast with great wheel bearings and excellent crank bearings. We have to get used to the super wide handle bars on this style of mountain bike, but they already feel more comfortable after our first 6 mile ride. We love...
