I've actually been to two now. The first one that I had ever been to is actually in Strongsville. When that one first opened it was The talk of the Town. You couldn't get into that one. But very quickly. It got very bad. The chicken was rough like rubber and the service was bad. No one seemed to care and things were slow.
Now I don't know if this is the same franchisee or a different one. But this one so far is going in the right direction. The service was decent. The person running the registers seemed nice enough. The only oddity is was that she said welcome to t mads. While I get that that is an abbreviation for teriyaki madness. It's confusing when you first walk in. You have that moment of am I in the wrong place. Much like the other one I've been to the wait for your food was oddly long. I don't know why. I've seen the kitchen from the other one and what is done is the chicken is made in Mass cooked and left on the flat top to cook at a low temperature. If left too long that's how it turns into rubber. I'm not 100% sure as to why it still takes as long as it does when their competitor Panda Express has it sitting out ready and waiting for you. Nothing about this visit was bad per se. But nothing was good either. If the franchisee doesn't focus on keeping things consistent, making sure the meat is fresh and chewy and edible. He's going to end up just like the one in...
Read moreI have been here twice. The first time was fantastic. Teriyaki Chicken was cooked perfectly along with the Teriyaki steak. Nicely cooked vegetables. I looked past the bad reviews and was pleasantly surprised. I figured they just opened people are learning how to cook. It makes sense. Today I opened my large bowl to check and it was nothing but burnt chicken ends. The beef looked good. Their were barely any veggies in the bowl and they looked so overcooked and wilted. I made my complaint known just about the burnt chicken and they said we will give you a side of chicken 2 mins later I get a side it looks good, but I try it and it tastes like rubber. Someone needs to be re-trained on how to properly cook the chicken and vegetables. I was frustrated and asked for a full refund. The front cashiers were wonderful service was great, but their was a man they all looked to that was cooking he had a lot of curly hair under his hat and it looked like he was the cook. I am sad I wasted my 2 dollars coupon on this. I cook these kind of foods on a very regular basis and I know how it should taste and be cooked. When I tried the side of chicken I spit it out in a napkin that is how...
Read moreWe stopped in for lunch on 6/7 after hearing good things. Love Asian food and wanted to see how this compares against other offerings. Be forewarned they have seating for approx 15-20 people and the seating area is awkward and cramped.Ordered a side of white rice, Jr Teriyaki Steak, Orange Chicken, and Teriyaki Steak with noodles yaki style. They were nice enough to let us know it was approximately a 20 minute wait.
My first gripe is that the restaurant has a horrible layout. Most of the people are ordering take out or doordash and you have nowhere to wait without being in the way. Please set up a roped off area to seperate the line from those waiting. It is so uncomfortable and awkward as you are always in the way of other patrons.
The food was ultimately not great. I'd rate everything 6 out of 10 at best. Tasted similar to Panda Express but slightly worse imo. The rice was gummy, the orange chicken was softer than expected, and the steak was okay but the grill marks tasted odd almost plastic like. The vegetables though were good and cooked well. Noodles tasted good.
For almost $50 I would rather order from Main Moon, Phoenix, or...
