When my grandmother was 8, she lost her mother to cancer. Her mother left behind an unfinished quilt, and for almost 90 years, my grandma kept that unfinished quilt as the only item from her mother, wishing she knew how to complete it.

I found Flora and explained the story. Flora took the quilt and all its pieces and completed a lap quilt for my grandma, who burst into happy tears when she received it.

My grandma had that quilt with her for the last 9 months of her life. She used it every single day….and she loved it so.

When she passed, I reached out to Flora again. This time, I had her make two “5 generations” bears for me. Starting with pieces of my great grandmas quilt, all the way down to pieces of my children’s clothing. The bears are beyond words.

Flora has created such cherished items for my family in the last year. I will forever be grateful for the happiness she brought my grandmother. All the way from the west coast of California, to the east coast in Connecticut…..she has helped to fill the void...

Flora was recommended by a friend of a friend. I am so happy I came across her name and information. I wanted to have a blanket made of all my late grandfather's favorite shirts. I inquired via Facebook regarding size options and prices. Flora got back to me very quickly. It took me a while to finally go through all the shirts but when I was ready, I was able to make an appointment very quickly and bring everything to her. She works out of her home in Stratford which is conveniently located. She is extremely personable, friendly, professional and she's great at what she does. I gave some ideas and perameters for the blanket but she took my thoughts and ran with it. She did an amazing job creating a patchwork blanket. I could not be happier and I know my grandmother is going to love it. I will most definitely be going back, next for some memory bears!...
