As soon as my wife and I walked in for a date night and saw the dark woven wood salad bowls on the tables I immediately was transported back to my grandma's kitchen. As an Italian American who grew up spending countless nights waiting in line at Pepe's with my parents/grandparents, lived in NYC for a decade and spent extensive time eating pizza in Italy-- the PARLOR is doing it RIGHT. The curated pizza menu with thoughtful beer, wine, Foxon Park soda choices, Caesar salad was made fresh and served slightly chilled., the contemporary music was at the perfect sound level, the entire extended family working together in unison while literally Grandma served us with a big smile through her mask...it was a truly nostalgic experience. We ordered our 3- 12'' pies "well done" for an extra crisp (Margherita, Botanist, & Shakespeare) and ended up coming home with nearly a full pie. The pizza resembles Neapolitan pizza you would find in a simple trattoria in Italy. You could honestly feel the love and passion this family has poured into this restaurant and I would highly encourage the community to come out and support this local establishment. We will be back next time with my two Italian grandma's and I'm proud to see a new generation of pizza makers staying true to tradition. Well done and a 5...
Read moreFirst time I came here - great customer service and quick turn around time, picked up 2 vegan pies, tasted great.
Second time I came here: ordered pick up on a Friday night and was told by the staff member who picked up phone that the wait would be about an hour, I explicitly asked on phone if it would be more than an hour (because I had a ferry to catch) and she told me no. I came within 55 minutes and a different staff member told me I was 20 minutes early and questioned whether I had actually placed my order about an hour ago, which was rude. He also said they said “at least an hour” and that’s not what I was told - I was told that it would be no more than an hour. He checked and I was right about when I placed order but it was just being prepared so I asked if I could cancel because I was going to miss my ferry if I waited for the pizza and he said yes. I really liked the pizza here but not sure if I will be coming back given the rude customer service I...
Read moreA friend recommended I visit this places and I asked does it compare to Grimaldi under the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn and they said yes. I ordered a pie with Buffalo mozzarella. I told the staff I'd eat it when I got home to Brooklyn but it never made it out of CT. It's a small business, with good customer service and great attention to detail. The pizza had thin crust and very natural ingredients and was the bomb. As an aside, I read some of the negative reviews. If the service experienced on a given day is not perfect, there's no need to weaponize a review with one star. A 5 star review makes the business receiving it, want to do better and go the extra mile. A one star review is petty. If you didn't like the food or service, don't visit there again. I'll revisit this pizza joint again. The place was clean, the bathrooms spotless, had outdoor seating and...
