Stratford Library — Attraction in Stratford

They usually have the books I want to read, interesting collection of non-fiction and in a convenient enough location for town patrons to visit. Shelves are organized neatly for the most part. Adequate job and volunteering opportunities. Lovely array of programs for teenagers, which I really hope teenagers take advantage of. The building is beautiful, COVID-19 precautions are followed thoroughly. The librarians are passionate and lovely to talk to. I don't think I've ever witnessed anyone get upset here. This library is too good to be true.

My only criticism is I wish they had more programs for adults, but I get that can be hard to host especially since it's hard to attract age groups that tend to be more occupied with work, family, or higher education. Hopefully more adult...

I typically go to this library I always had friendly people helping me and never had an issue, this time I went to get something faxed, I was okay that the fax machine was not working, things happen, but when the lady said “they usually don’t refund the money for the fax” I was like what ??? Even when the fax machine has failed on your end and nothing was sent ??? They confirmed twice that nothing was sent, why would I still pay? Thought that was very weird and very unnecessary for the librarian to say that. Will not be returning. Bridgeport library downtown helped...

Extremely friendly and professional staff. If book is not there they locate it and notify you promptly. Comprehensive collection in a clean,quiet,secure area. Beautiful building adds charm to existing historic neighborhood. Computer section is great asset for our citizens,also. A pleasure to visit and a great Stratford resource. However, get ready for a long walk to your car, almost all spaces are designated Handicap for facility next door. Only the back corner of the lot is reserved for library patrons. This should...
