July 25, 2025 I had a prescription that wasn't showing it was being filled and one that was ready. I called my doctor's office to make sure they sent both prescriptions through and they did. They said the Walgreens app is frequently wrong and suggested I call the Walgreens location that is filling it. I decided to do that because the nearest Walgreens is 20 minutes from me in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. I didn't want to drive out there for no reason and picking up the medication that was "wonky" was the only thing I NEEDED to do that day in Sturgeon Bay. I'm on hold for half an hour and I don't know what is going on, I can't hang up or I will lose my spot and I only own one phone. I try their chat, no person or answers. So, at this point I drive out there. It's been 53 minutes on hold, no voicemail message or anything. I get there and there is a sign up saying the pharmacy is closed. Wonderful. I just wasted 53 minutes on hold and gas money. I'm livid, the employee at the photo counter tells me I can file a complaint. So I write out why I'm so upset with my contact info. They end up losing the complaint (according to the store manager). I contact corporate, they could give a rat's behind about their customers and their satisfaction. I am still waiting to hear back from Corporate. Someone from a Green Bay location reached out to me, but I already 1) wrote a complaint in the store, 2) filed a complaint with corporate, 3) spoke with the store leader for Sturgeon Bay (she said the voicemail issue was a corporate thing out of their control. I'm sorry if I don't want to explain a million times over, maybe respond to the first complaint properly? Because of this situation it caused my meds to be refilled improperly and I was told my prescription wouldn’t be ready until 8 days...
Read moreThis Walgreens is struggling, no fault of their own. I understand that employees are in short supply and, this Walgreens becomes everybody’s drug center for the summer. Out of towners inundate and it is hard to keep up with pharmacy orders. We have had to wait a long time and it is frustrating. It makes me long for winter when some of them go home but, many now stick around even then. The solution would be for the store to expand staff for summer season but I know that is difficult. Pharmacists are hard to come by. I hope they can hang in there and fight the good fight because otherwise it’s a great store. Today they hit a new low, the outer pharmacy lane was closed altogether and the main one speaker was down so you had to shout...
Read moreThe pharmacy here is in need of help - and better help. The counter people are good people, severely short-handed. The joker i just talked to, supposedly the weekend "fill-in" (his words) pharmacist, has only one answer, "I'm just a fill-in, call back Monday" and then he hung up on me. His name is Max. I had talked to him 15 minutes b 4 and he gave me the above as well, hence the call back never suspecting he was the "fill-in" pharmacist. Also talked to counter person - of course had to wait and listen to how "sorry" Walgreens was to keep me waiting - as they ALWAYS do. Getting to be too much to put up with Walgreens. All that and I still have bogus prescription info. No wonder they just lost a...
