If I could give them a negative rating, I would. AT&T signed me up for an internet account 1 month ago and for some reason put my neighbor's phone number on my account. I have been trying for a month to get it corrected. I called and texted the guy who signed me up, spent multiple hours on the phone with tech support and even stopped in the store, and for some reason this task is beyond their capabilities.
Rob, the manager at this store, did absolutely nothing for me. He scanned my drivers license 2-3 times when I was there, proving that it was me, took my information and said he would deal with it. He did not. I called back in as I didn't have the time to waste to go and stand in the store in person after sitting on the phone with tech support (and this was not my first call with customer or tech support) for 2hrs, 21mins and 20 secs. Rob told me that I had to come back into the store as there was nothing he could do for me over the phone. I reminded him that I had been it the store days before and he did not fix the issue then so I wasn't wasting my time running back over, standing there for who knows how long to only have then not fix it again. I told him to just delete this supposed duplicate account that AT&T had created with my contact info, he said he couldn't without me actually being there. Eventually he just hung up on me. I called back and asked him for his manager, he said he was the manager and then hung up on me again. DO NOT deal with this people or this store. Never once have I been offered any sort of resolution for this simple request of just changing the primary phone number on my account except that I would have to go in in person and demand that they delete it, which I doubt they would actually do.
This has been an absolutely ridiculous experience. After an awful experience with AT&T 23 yrs ago with my landline, I swore I would never go back, but they are the only internet available at my address. If I had an other viable option, I would switch immediately. I would have also thought that after 23 years AT&T would have improved on their customer service, unfortunately they are just as awful as they have always been. To top it off they have repeatedly tried to sell me wireless phone service. I informed them I would NEVER switch to them as they can't even bother to resolve a simple issue of an incorrect phone number on an account.
If you have an issue, don't bother going into the Sturgeon Bay store. They are apathetic at best and rude at worst. At least the guy at the Green Bay store sounded concerned and apologized for the frustration.
Still don't think anyone working for AT&T is going to resolve the issue. Hoping I never have any service issues otherwise I think I'm...
Read moreI drove 45 minutes to get to your store in order to upgrade my dead phone. Three hours later and I had to ask Rob to stop trying, put my account back the way it was, and that I would deal with it when I get home. Unfortunately, something is now amiss with my phone number as I am no longer receiving texts on my Apple laptop, which is what I was using as a sub for my phone. While Rob was very kind and tried his best, it was extremely unprofessional for a manager to leave him alone in the store all day. What a waste of my time, Rob's, and the two customers waiting to be seen after me.
UPDATE: Days later and I still do not have a working phone number because in Rob's 3-hour effort to sell me a phone he inadvertently triggered a fraud response for my phone number. I've been in contact with AT&T three times now this week...
Read moreLet me begin by saying that the young man at the ATT store was amazing he really tried to fix things. I came in today to trade in my iphone 13 for a new 16. I was very excited. He had started the process of downloading everything over to my new phone and had deactivated my old phone. I had paid my bill. For some reason I required additional identity verification. The Luis in the Fraud Division would not let the transaction continue. He also would not allow my old phone to be reinstated. So my 88 year old mother can't get ahold of me right now . I have been with ATT cell phone service for over 20 years. I am on my way over to Verizon. Fraud protection is to protect ME. I had my driver's license, US passport and work ID. Luis -...
