Door County Cooperative True Value — Local services in Sturgeon Bay

I ordered a fridge from Appliance Avenue inside of the Coop and was told by the sales associate that I could expect my fridge to be delivered first thing in the morning at 8am. When they didn't show up in the morning I was then told they were rerouted and would be at my house around noon. When they didn't show up at noon and I called again I was told they had just finished up their last job and were on their way. An hour after that call at 3:30 the guys showed up. The office/retail side seemed to have no connection to what was actually happening in the field and seriously failed in communicating when I should have expected my fridge to be delivered. I'd rather hear an honest correct answer as opposed to several optimistic wrong ones. The actual appliance guys who removed my fridge and installed the new one were great, no complaints on that end. This has to be the worst hardware store I've ever been in. Every single employee that isn't at a register will stand in a line just past the entrance when it's within 30 minutes of closing and harass/interrogate you, with major attitude, as soon as you walk in the door and the entire time you're there. And if you say you don't need any help they will follow you around the store. And for some reason they always find some way to tell you that you must not be "from here," even if you are. It's the most awkward, rude experience I've ever encountered in my life. We avoid this place like the plague when at all possible (unfortunately Door County has limited options and they stock some things that no-one else does, but we absolutely order online instead of going in when we can). I purchased about 25 or 30 steel fence posts last fall 2018 and had 10 that were not needed or used but didn't have time to return them before leaving for Florida for the winter. When I returned in May 2019 I attempted to return the 10 posts (with the receipt) and the store would not accept the return even for a store credit. Very poor management decision.
