I am extremely disappointed in the service I received upon moving and closing my unit. I was a CubeSmart customer for years. When we moved, we needed to move out of our storage units. We went into the office and personally told the employee that we would be moving and would not be in our units for the next billing cycle. We did exactly what we said we would do. I hired 2 young men to move things out of our units the weekend before the end of our payment cycle. Imagine my surprise when a week later I was automatically charged for one unit. I called and spoke with an employee who said that he never received notification that we were moving. Not sure what to say about that... other than, I’m not a liar. The employee said that he would “check on it.” When I called a week later, I was told that he checked the unit that Friday and I still had things in the unit. Guess how he checked? The lock was off. Guess why? Because we were in the process of moving out. We had everything removed by Saturday. Did the 2 men I hired go into the office and tell them we moved? No. Why should they? We are living in COVID times. They did the job they were paid to do. I was basically called a liar again. I was moved out when I was supposed to be. Corporate CubeSmart knew that I was moving out because on the Thursday following my “move out Friday/Saturday, they sent a survey asking me to tell them about my experience with CubeSmart. I tried to make a complaint and/or receive help on the corporate website, but the email response...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Signed up on line with a free month free promotion. Confirmed my reservation on line and the total for the first month was 61.34. Five minutes later I received a email receipt for 458.00 dollars. These guys overcharged my account by almost 400.00. Called all day to have this matter resolved, spoke with four different employees and each Confirmed that it was a mistake on the companies behalf. Finally told by the store manager ( Makenzie @ the Sugarland site off hwy 6) that she would speak to her district manager in the morning. Called the next morning and she told me she had sent him an email and didn't know when the matter would be resolved. Said it take days after initially telling me it would just 10 seconds to refund the balance from the error. I called and left a message with the district manager Whit Ford and of course received no response. I'll never do business with this company and I recommend anyone interested in doing so think twice...

Jodi explained everything, suggested additional information and allowed me to make a well-informed decision. She is like a kind friend or a generous landlady. I really thought renting a storage unit is a very un personable experience but with Jodi in the equation, you feel like CudeSmart is an extension of your home or office and Jodi I’d part of your team. Today, I was moving the last bit of my boxes from my nonprofit organization ChildBuilders to the storage unit and my car battery died. Dear Jodi emptied her entire trunk to find her jumper cable and gave me a jump start. She even explained to me how she did. Because of her I was able to make it to my son’s pediatrician on time.
