I've come here off and on since they've been open, with an admittedly long gap inbetween. That said, today I needed to be away from home, but with Internet access on a laptop, so I came here. I've been purchasing and sipping on beverages all morning while doing my work on my laptop, and here's what I noticed. I write this really so that the manager/owner can see it: 1) 4 employees behind the counter.... Several times walking up to the counter with 3 of the 4 of them doing nothing, and still had to wait for someone to acknowledge my presence. 2) 4 employees working and in over two hours here, NOT ONE of them came out from behind the counter to clean or bus a table, sweep the floor, re-stock the napkins (which were empty). Furthermore, I came in early in the a.m. and the entire place was in disarray. Chairs in all directions, clearly from the last evening's traffic. Food crumbs and garbage on the floor. Not once in two hours here has anyone come out to straighten chairs or put them back where they belong (they had been moved on previous day by customers), no one came out to sweep the floor or bus a table... and the cherry on top 3) the 4 staff behind the counter incessantly chatting with one another in a relatively loud voice, while barely giving notice to customers.... Frankly, this is a management failure. I can't blame the young people behind the counter. Clearly they weren't trained on what to do, and clearly there's no policy about straightening or cleaning!! I almost don't dare go into the restroom.... If they have taken as much attention in there as they have to the rest of the place, it's going to be ugly. Manager/owner, please respond. I'm happy to amend my review if I come back and everything written...
Read moreOne doesn’t have to look for very long or drive very far to find a coffee shop. They are practically everywhere and there are independent coffee houses as well as chains. One of the latter that I have tried and liked is Minuti Coffee, and one location I have visited multiple times is Minuti Coffee in Sugar Land.
This Minuti Coffee location, like the others, offers a cozy interior with several seating options. There are individual, upholstered chairs if you want to feel at home; high tables and chairs; and lower tables and chairs with several tables for group meetings. They even have a few outdoor tables and chairs, if you prefer fresh air while you eat and drink.
Like any coffee house, Minuti has several coffee drinks from which to select from, and there are both hot and cold options. They have tea also, and food ranging from muffins and pastries to breakfast sandwiches. I have had good experiences with the coffee drinks served here, as they have been well made and tasty. The muffins are a safe choice as well. The breakfast food is hit and miss, but still a decent way to start your morning.
I have also had good experiences at this Minuti location with service. They have always been prompt and courteous and I like that they will help you select a drink to fit your taste/mood, if you ask. Summing it all up, Minuti Coffee in Sugar Land is a place I recommend for coffee, light food, and good conversation. I have visited this location more than any other and every experience here has been positive. Give them a try if you happen to be...
Read moreAfter moving from the north Dallas area, my partner and l have been looking for a late afternoon or early evening coffee shop for coffee dates. It’s been difficult to find as many local coffee shops close up at 4pm. We tried out Minuti in Sugar Land and believe it is fairly close to some of the great independent coffee shops and cafes in McKinney and Lewisville. I had a White Moka. It was competitively priced and had a great flavor and effectively combined the flavor profiles of expresso and white chocolate. I did not get the whip cream opting for the more basic flavors and really enjoyed my drink. Staff were friendly, patient in describing all the drink options, and speedy in service. There was a range of ice creams and pastries also available, and Minuti offers blended ice cream and coffee desserts. The atmosphere was comfortable with numerous places to sit and enjoy conversations or people watch. There was seating at a counter inside as well as seating around tables and lounge chairs. There was also a few double top tables placed outside. Note, there is a 2 hour limit on internet access. Aside from that, internet ran great for basic applications such as reading online books and shopping. The crowd was diverse in age, gender, racial/ethnic identification, and profession (students to physicians). I enjoyed Minuti and will recommend it for others looking for a good cup of coffee and comfortable atmosphere to read, talk,...
