Let me start off by saying I love Kirklands. I am a frequent shopper at this location. However, it seems like 98 percent of the time their employees are rude, unfriendly, and at times a bit lazy. This past Sunday, 11/10, I stood in line and an employee by the name of Linda knew I was the next customer to checkout because I was standing behind the person currently checking out but instead took someone else who had just walked up acting like she had no idea a line was formed. My personal opinion was it was because of race or that’s how it made me feel. Others saw it too but we stayed quiet because it was obvious Linda didn’t care. And this is the not the first time this has happened in that store. I’ve learned here if you see something that isn’t within reach to ask someone taller or and a fellow customer to help grab it because most employees here don’t like to be bothered. The employees here don’t always greet you. It truly feels it’s a race thing. I watched as others walked up to pay and the employees greet them, but when certain races came up, no greeting, just started checking them out in silence until they had to speak to the customer. I have purchased an impressive 120 bags of satchels, and I must say, they last an astonishing three months. This aligns perfectly with my routine of visiting four times a year to replenish my stock. Placing these satchels in my clothing drawers adds a distinctive aroma that permeates my entire wardrobe, creating a delightful atmosphere in my home reminiscent of Kirlands. Read moreI went to to this location because I had to pick up an online order. When I entered the store I was not greeted but thats fine. When I got to the counter the gentleman that was there greeted me right away and got my order. He asked me if my order was good and then he checked me out because I ended up buying some candles as well. As I am putting my change away this women asks the gentleman about my lamps (she could of been a manager) and he tells her that he is checking me when she just grabs my lamps and puts them on a table close to the exit door. It really rubbed me the wrong way because I wasn't in the way, there was no other customers behind me and she was not doing it to be helpful either. She didn't even acknowledge me. Even the guy that was helping me had a confused look on his face. This women definitely is in need of training and has no business in customer service.
