I shop here very frequently and buy a lot, but this is the first time I’ve had such a disappointing experience with a cashier. Her name was Natalie. I was purchasing only fragile items, and I had two full carts. I politely asked her at the beginning if she needed my help with wrapping, and she said OK. But then she didn’t wrap a single sheet of paper — not one. She even put two fragile items into one plastic bag and just set them on the counter, which caused one item to fall. And she continued doing the same thing with the rest of my items.
Not wanting the items I carefully selected — which weren’t cheap — to get scratched or broken on the way home, I asked her if she had some paper so I could wrap them myself. That’s when she started showing attitude and seemed visibly annoyed.
What store packs fragile items in just plastic bags? Even if they ran out of wrapping paper, they could at least put one item per bag to protect it. But instead, she doubled up fragile items in a single plastic bag, which is completely careless and unacceptable.
I’m really disappointed with how this was handled, especially as a loyal and regular customer. I hope this feedback helps improve...
Read moreWe're traveling and ended up staying in a lodging that did not have an onsight laundry facility. Indeed, there were no nearby options (laundromats) for us to wash our own clothing. Thus, I set out to find a clothing store that was convenient, reasonably priced and represented name brand clothing manufacturers. Though not specifically seeking out Marshall's, I opted to stop by, first, on my way to a different store. This proved worthwhile and surprisingly so! I found a fair selection of dresses/skirts, outfits, blouses, undergarments and socks for my daughters and came away with several outfits for each daughter (triplets, aged five), as well as economical packs of sock and underwear...and the total expense was less than we paid for our last meal out, as a family! In other words...quite modestly priced, all-in-all. Indeed, because I was able to find everything we needed at Marshall's, I didn't have to visit the intended destination store! Aside from finding clothes that my daughters loved ("thank you, Daddy!!!"), the store was clean, brightly lit, uncrowded...and the staff were friendly and helpful!...
Read moreMost of the people here are very nice and helpful, however Raquel A. (the coordinator) was really in a mood today! I found a cute mug that I loved but it had a chip on it. I took it to the front and asked Raquel if she could discount it. She replied “It came in like that and we don’t discount chipped items.” REALLY?! So all of the items in the clearance section aren’t discounted? I said I didn’t want to pay full price for a defective item so she took it and THREW it in a bin where it promptly shattered. I couldn’t believe she would choose to destroy an item rather than take a percentage off the cost. What a waste. I hope she was just having a bad day, but from the way she was barking at all of the other employees, I have a feeling she’s...
