Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Sugar Land

I love marble slab ice cream and am a sucker for desserts! After dinner my friends and I looked up Marble slab and were routed to Maggie moos. Confused we walked in and asked “is this marble slab? Why is it called Maggie Moo’s?” To the two young men at the counter. We received two very different responses, one of the guys (pictured said his name was Devin) said “because it is.” While the other explained “we are owned by Marble Slab but are an independent store.” We still bought ice cream from the location being that it is a small business and we are locals and love to support smaller businesses over large corps. The kinder young man made my ice cream while my friends tried other ice creams to make a decision with “Devin” he huffed and puffed as my friends asked for one more sample. I was very taken back by the service we received from this young man compared to the other and will not be coming back to this location...

Took my family of five here to eat ice cream to celebrate their last day of school. I was told upon entry that we had to have mask. I ask why? they said it was the Managers policy. I said well you have a mask on so you’re safe. She said nonetheless I can’t serve you unless you wear a mask. I went two miles down the road to Maggie Moos ice cream where we were greeted warmly and served the best ice cream ever and had no trouble with the mask. Folks there is no law to wear a mask it is left up to the proprietor to make these kind of silly decisions. If you’re like me and you’re tired of obeying The Tyranny of the fearful, then do like me and vote with your pocketbook. Do not patronize these places. They will soon get the message and stop...

I didn't get a photo, but loved the assortment of flavors and toppings. We came with two families of 5 after our kids' hockey game. Of course, the ice cream was great. But what i really want to talk about were the two wonderful young gentlemen working tonight. They didn't bat an eye as 10 people walked in their door at once. They were kind and courteous as we asked questions and the kids wanted to order on their own. They checked in to confirm details on each individual order to make sure everyone's was perfect. No exasperation late on a Saturday night, smiles galore, sincerity. It's been a long time since I've gotten wonderful service like we had tonight. I hope you know what...
