Serena Salon and Spa — Local services in Sugar Land

This place is horrible. Too bad I don't have the option to give it 0 stars. I got my mum a gift card from this place for Mother's Day back in May of 2016. I meant for it to be for manicure and pedicure, because that's the only service she uses at this place. When I asked the lady who sold me the gift voucher, she told me that my mum will be able to use it for manicure and pedicure. A week later, when my mum called to make an appointment, they told her that the lady who does it is out at the time. That was back in May. A few weeks later when she called to get an appointment, they told my mum that they do not do manicure/pedicure any longer. I just went in today, more than two months later, to see if I can get a leave-in conditioner for my mum and they told me that the voucher can only be used for services. The voucher also expires on August 8, 2016.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sarena Salon for my daughter's prom night hair and makeup. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. I had the most horrible experience there. The staff here COMPLETELY fried my hair :( They didn't know what they were doing on a simple curl. They damaged my hair so much that I had to cut 5 inches off. I still feel like crying. They damaged it so much that it changed my hair color to blond from dark brown and the ends were so split that every time I brushed my hair, pieces of my hair kept falling off. I had worked so hard to get my hair healthy in the first place and I even told them that and asked them to put a heat protectant on. I wish there was some way I could get recourse as it will take me a good 2 years to get my hair back to that length that I had worked so hard to get to.
