I'm not ungrateful but lookie here. I have knowledge of Giant grocery stores. If you don't know, these stores I frequently visited in my travels to three in Pennsylvania, two in Delaware, 50 different DMV locations, and eight in Greater Maryland. Don't forget two in West Virginia. I've been to my fair share of different Giant stores and each is different. Some are called express, meaning they are smaller with tighter check out aisles, hence the one in Marlow Heights, This particular store in District Heights being something like a Super Giant, it functions in the manner of the neighborhood. The problem is the product does not meet the needs of the consumer. My family and I have been loyal to Giant Food and pharmacy for over 35 years.
This store..... Stopped my elderly mother with a health condition it hurt her so bad she had a minor stroke in 2017 and they refused us service for using recycled bags, that were clearly labeled Giant Food that were purchased in Largo, two days before and bags that the Bay Highland Annapolis store issued my grandmother in 1992.
They told my mother mam you're not allowed to use recycled bags because you may be a thief. She never came back to this store before her untimely death 2020 she said I will never ever come to shop at this store....here. not nan dollar. I noticed that, if you are a regular to the store they treat you differently. When, I moved back here three years ago the security followed me through and around the store on multiple occasions. I'm not stealing anything from this store. I have a water reservoir bag and I use it for cold and heavy groceries. So, I use it to exercise 40 lbs to 60 lbs of groceries to fit in it and I carry it about 3 miles. They sold me broken bags that were dry rotted and fell apart in the middle of the street. Not to mention, they do things on purpose to security check me personally to slow me down at the self checkout register with like seven items. I even saw the video of me scanning items and the sensors registered it for me this happened the first three times that I came into the store to make a purchase. Moreover, these things happen every time, I go to use the self checkout. Last year I noticed they raised the price by two dollars on a soap that I use but they only had one bottle of it. They even put a six dollar tax on my tooth paste last week when it's $5 in four other Giant locations. Peep...$10.59 for Colgate toothpaste. I have been harassed for asking about a poultry product 1.5lb is $5-$7 after taxes they had it printed for $10.99. I get it I'm not liked, but the price doesn't change by $7 overnight. First it was $1, then it was $2, and now it is $6-$7 difference on $3-$5 items. The veggies have gnats and flies on them. They're bruised and mushy basically rotting on the shelf it looks as if they pulled that stuff out of the garbage. It's always trash and homeless people in front of the store asking for change. They are picking pockets and stuff. The off duty cop doesn't even recognize the hustle. I can't help them see, let alone the yns asking can I help with your stuff. This ain't Safeway on Minnesota Ave. I know life is hard but apply for a job in the Giant and get that extra money. YNs. They have staff members in there with visible urine stains themselves and smelling up the store. Flies in the bakery box. It's like "Holy Moley doughnuts". I'm more hurt than disgusted with this place because, I know they can do better, and I can see...

Because they should always be some room for necessary needed adjustments toward changes within any organization business establishment. And basically this is or can be a great place to shop why purchasing youâre food merchandise items, as well I would half to give accountability to some of the management staff that differently helps to make improvements as they see fit for more better provided service at times itâs almost as if they donât care. And now there had finally closed there doors at this location so much poor service itâs wasnât shocking if you knew of this particular store which isnât surprising in the public eyes...
Read morePicked up a family member from this area and it too is changing for the better. Entering in and out is slightly congested. The entering and exiting this shopping area needs widening for cars and pedestrians to safely use this location. Otherwise the stores for this shopping area slightly tilts the scale to mid- scale dining. I would like to see dining for kids to experience waiter/waitress taking orders taken from the tables, that teach children how to dine inside and not always exposed to carry-out. Ex: a healthier dining instead of chicken...
