I totally wish there was a way to give this place a negative star rating. My daughter and I went into this location as we normally do. There was a line so we waited our turn. We each asked for a sample before we choose to try something new. The girl behind the counter (breanna) got a little tiffed about having to give a sample. My daughter said "I would like cheesecake and sweet cream." Breanna asked what size and she said the large cup. Again she got an attitude and demanded to know if she wanted the best value. As many times as I have purchased ice cream from your store I have never had to say anything more than large cup. Breanna than asked mixed or side by side for the 2 flavors. My daughter replied "which ever is easier" just to make it faster. " Breanna looked to the girl next to her and said " oh great another fu**ing retard". This is not acceptable on any level. We walked away from the line to leave when Breanna got angry and demanded we explain. I told her to walk to the end of the counter or step outside because they were children who didn't need to hear. I went outside and called inside to ask for management and was told the manager never comes on and that this person on the phone was the supervisor ( rebecca) and that she hadn't heard any of this. I told her that people that were sitting heard it. An elderly couple hear it and we spoke outside and agreed this was unacceptable. While I was on the phone rebecca asked customers if they heard someone call my daughter that name. One man I could hear said " he didn't hear the entire conversation but they knew something was said that made me angry and walk out. I will be getting in touch with the corporate office to make sure this doesn't happen again to anyone. What a horrible way to be treated. On a positive note... I drove to sweet frog where I purchased frozen yogurt with all the fixings and they were happy to see us. You all have lost a customer who shopped with you 2 times or more a week....
Read moreI've had 2 recent not so great experiences with Great American Cookie in Summerville. The first one was Dec. 3, 2021. I ordered a large rectangle cookie cake that was supposed to be like a football field with green end zones (similar to the image on their website but with different colors and name). The sideline numbers and the white field lines were horrible! I even asked them what these #s were because it looked like a kid wrote them. I politely told them that I wasn't happy with the way it looked and had them to redo it with smaller piping for the lines and numbers and explained to her what would look better. The second one looked much better and she agreed. The next one I ordered was just this week. It was the smaller round Dinosaur D1003 (I believe). I picked it up this past Wednesday evening around 6:30pm. By this time I'm done with the day and didn't even have the energy to complain. The dinosaur looked much bigger than the picture online, the eyes looked possessed, looked like they gave it 3 front legs, the name looked like "Masan" instead of Mason. I tried to brush it off as these are kids making these and thanking that they are working. However, when you spend this amount of money on something special, you want to get what you pay for. I WILL NOT GET ANOTHER SPECIAL COOKIE...

Long version: What an awful experience ordering a birthday cake was. I first tried to order online but every time I got to the order completion page, it would stall and not complete. I decided to make the order over the phone. After several (5 or more) attempts went unanswered, I asked a family member who lives in the area to visit in person. They made the order and requested the date for pickup. On the day of pickup, I got 5 text messages saying my cakes were being delivered and to be available to receive them. Every order that timed out, went through without confirmation! I went to the store to sort it out and pick up the one cake ordered in person. It wasn't ready. I told them about the online issues and they said, "That's technology for you." Then I told them about not getting through on the phone and they said, "We're answering the phone today." They had the wrong date. They were able to slap a cake together that had toppings that were half melting, and no extras on the inside (so just a plain vanilla cake) that wasn't even...
