I really did get scared in the beginning and towards the end so I’ll give it 3 stars. However it’s really not worth the price or the wait. Waited almost 2 hours and paid 56 for two ppl.
Very disorganized wait due to limited staff and how the haunted house was set up. This is likely due to the haunted house not being a complete linear path and at multiple times having to pause and turn around per the scenario. If it was a complete linear path you could get more people in and out without enormous wait times between groups. When one group goes in, there could be a two minute wait time then allow another group to enter. This would also require more staff to direct the flow of people.
There also were areas of the building that were not part of the walk through this could have been additional areas which could buffer the time it takes for their scenarios decreasing the wait time while increasing the experience.
Overall it was fun and you will get scared. The staff was very nice and I liked that they had a guide that walked with you. For the price Execution needs improvement. that would make the experience more enjoyable...

You know, that anxious, excited feeling before going into the unknown of a haunted house. Now to be fair, it is small compared to KLAQ but it packs a helluva punch!
Every year my parents and I make the yearly trip to as many haunts as we can get to and this one by far takes the ball and runs! I love that they get you immersed into the environment as soon as you step through the door. It is disorienting and dimly lit (not obnoxiously dark). This place doesn't deal out cheap jump scares to make you jump, they sell you an experience. Each and every actor sells that experience!
Been to both KLAQ houses, Forbidden Acres, and Murder House. This one takes the cake! My favorite house of 2021! I would happily pay the amount for this one over the amount for KLAQ for what you get.
The owner also said they change it up every week so I may go again if I get the chance!
PS it is by the Puma store if you are having...
Read moreThe Asylum Haunted House is an experience unlike any haunted houses you normally see in El Paso! The owner runs a production company from LA, so instead of your usual jump scare haunted house, he wants to provide a show, a truly immersive experience, from beginning to end!
The tours are done in small batches to enhance your experience, and the tour has great timing (not too long, and not too short). The actors are professional, and ensure that you have a great experience from beginning to end!
Please note that they are open Friday to Sunday 7pm-11pm. If there is no line, just wait on the benches in the front, and someone will be by to haunt you shortly 👻 The GA pass is great during downtime, but the VIP and Platinum VIP Passes will be needed closer to Halloween!
The owner is constantly tweaking the haunted house to ensure that return customers do not have a repeat experience, so if you come by now and return closer to Halloween, you'll be pleased to find quite a few...
