Stay away - especially with a large group.
We were there with our basketball team and families last weekend. We made a reservation far in advance. We arrived at 6:00 and didn't "escape" until closing (around 10).
They only had one server working our group of 33. This poor kid did her very best but there was no way she could be successful.
The food took FOREVER and when it did start to arrive, the salads arrive at about the same as the meals (if they arrived at all - some came after the meals).
Meals were not accurate - food was cold.
No refunds or gift certificates were even offered. They comped a few deserts to the group and of course, offered to remake meals but when you have waited for hours to get dinner and just want to go home, that is hollow compensation.
This was NOT a failure of the front or back of the house. This was absolutely a management issue.
Which by the way, left long before the food came and certainly didn't do anything to make sure guests were taken care of.
If you were a restaurant in Sunnyside WA, with an opportunity to get some great referral and reference with a group of families from around the area that come to the area frequently for sporting events, also know others that do, and will most likely be back to the area again... as management... would you leave and not make sure things went well? Management was not even apparent. When we left it was our server and the bartender. PERIOD.
And adding further insult to injury, the computer system failed while our server was trying to get bills out and she was then also responsible to contact the software tech support and solve THAT problem on her own also. Someone who reads this needs to go hire Jessica away from this disaster - she did her best.
So the reviews I am reading on Google NOW... make a lot of sense - some good / some bad. This place has all the potential to be great but with poor management, the results will always be a crap shoot and there will be no dependable consistency. We certainly will not be back. We drove from Yakima to check it out... what a...
Read morewent in there with 4 of my friends and was treated absolutely horrible by Jaden, our waitress. i had a $10 huckleberry lemon drop, i had one sip and it tasted like Nyquil - when i told Jaden this she told me “it’s supposed to taste like that”, i gave it back to her and was still charged. my salad, and two other salads at the table were so drenched in dressing it was uneatable. all of the salads had brown lettuce it was disgusting. but most importantly the service provided by Jaden was absolutely horrible - my entire table was appalled at the LACK of service we had.
UPDATE: after the extremely unprofessional reply by Snipes management, i am horrified. I’m sure they have cameras? They can easily see that Ms. Jaden did NOT come back to us to let her know that our food was atrocious. I had a table full of hungry men, yeah, they’re going to eat whatever is put in front of them, they’re HUNGRY. It was not “one piece” of brown lettuce, the one salad was FULL of brown pieces it was absolutely disgusting. I’m shocked they think we would complain about “one piece”. Second of all, the menu says “Huckleberry Lemon Drop” (i checked 3 times before complaining) so perhaps the owners don’t know their own menu? Our table was understanding that they did not have their ID’s but Jaden made it clear that the only reason she wouldn’t serve them is because her “manager is sitting right over there”, she made that excuse multiple times. The only thing Snipes has going for them is that they’re the only restaurant in town like it. You’re better off at any other restaurant or drive-thru hole in the wall in Sunnyside than...
Read moreAtmosphere SUCKED! DON'T allow yourself to be seated in the back dining area as it has no more atmosphere than a mom and pop diner. Our experience was of kids running wild with no supervision a group of their parents were downing beers. Brought to the attention of our server, and nothing was done to control the problem. I don't care to pay the high price for prime rib or other overrated menu items and try to enjoy a brew to be subjected to an atmoshere that one would experience at a burger joint with a play land. Communications with the owner they conveyed that they consider Snipes to be FAMILY FRIENDLY and shared that their prices are lower than equilivent establishment in "PROSSER" I have visited all of those establishments and have never experienced such a experience and I am willing to pay alittle more for a quality experience! Snipes is no longer a Brewery as it is now a Tap House and not worthy of their overrated hype. Snipes has removed the brewery vats visible and adjacent to the bar. It might be that they are going to put in a play land. If you want to experience a more enjoyable and rewarding experience, go to Prosser! If you are willing to pay top dollar for a diner style atmosphere, take your...
