I took the course because I saw many good reviews but I regret after I took the course myself. The practical textbook that was made and given by the school isn’t reliable. If you do not make your own notes when you learn the skills and think that you can go back home and read the practical textbook and you can do the test, you will surely get so confused because there are a lot of errors in that book… some of it doesn’t even make sense. The teacher also tried to ask us to hurry up and pay for the exam, she mentioned that we can change the exam date if we are not available but when we tried to change it, she wasn’t happy and it wasn’t as easy as thought. There was no follow up of who has and has not done the background check… once you paid, the school doesn’t follow up… a lot of things you just have to follow up by yourself as the school doesn’t update you with any information. And if you think of learning something for the amount of money you paid here, it is probably not so much. The school aims more for student to pass the test… I remember my first day the teacher said “if you got your pulse skill for the exam and you can’t find the pulse, fake it until you make it”… and many times when we asked what we should do in real life, the teacher replied “I don’t know… I only teach you how to pass the exam”… this should not be the way of teaching… instead the school should teach someone who will be in health care field to learn how to do their job properly because it involves someone’s life. We know that different places may have their own way of how to deal with things but there should be a better answer. Also the teacher often come to class late and often try to finish early… 100 hours… no… we definitely did not do 100 hrs… School also trying to advertise that they have Phlebotomy/EKG course. They can finish within 8 hours… so if you think you will learn how to draw blood and all that, the answer is no you don’t… you will only learn about how to pass the test, whether you will pass the test or not, that is another story. Truth health academy the name says it all. Ms marva is a past instructor from another school who ventured out on her own, and little did she know she was destined for greatness... I came across truth health out of sheer coincidence but the warm, and vibrance I was greeted with impressed me. This is not just a school it's a family filled with joy, love, warmth and TRUTH. I recently sat my CNA boards and I finished with an impressive pass mark and that's only because ms marva's choice of teaching skills is just like an actual test site, with clear, factual, precise and Truthful approach. She offers a book crafted from her own knowledge and wits which might I add is very very informative.... if you are looking for a school that is family oriented, truthful, full of life and productive come to truth health where you'll exceed your expectations and limits on which ever venture you choose from CPR, Hha, nclex, in-service first aid, phlebotomy and ekg... I walk by faith not by sight which led me to Truth Health Academy where I successfully completed my HHA, CPR, Background check ( required by State law to practice), Phelobotomy/ EKG and Med tech courses. Truth Health has prepared for the health industry across the USA and even globally. The well experienced and skilled teachers imparted invaluable trainings that I am using on jobs to this day. I must say that Truth Health equipped me with the health industry practical trainings and study guides and best practices to let me stand out as job ready for the industry. I had to study like any other institution in order to pass. I utilized the handbooks and study guides I received as well as the tips on how to perform according to the Health Industry standards and guidelines in accordance with AHCA regulations. I am now enrolled in the Certified Nursing Assistant course at Truth Health and because the exam dates are so full I had to sign up early to get a close date to my graduation. Truth Health is guaranteed safe and comfortable learning environment. I can also use the labs at any time to practice my skills as long as it is available based on CNA State exam happening every friday.
