Lovely Shop; Odd Experience. A friend (who frequents this shop) and I came in for a visit. Both of us purchased items. Among the items, we picked up several packets of seeds. The sign said one thing and the woman at the counter charged us more than what was posted. My friend questioned the clerk. I went to the back of the store where the sign was located to double check. I confirmed to the clerk what the (aged) sign said. She said something to the effect that someone must have changed it because it's always been the price that she charged us for. But, she was clearly annoyed and appeared insulted that we questioned her. It would have been an inconsequential thing if the clerk was humble and apologized for this simple human mistake. Adorable shop in the downtown area of Sutter Creek. I have been coming up to Sutter Creek to shop for the past 30 years. I gave the customer service experience only 3 stars due to the complete indifference of one of the staff members. I was purchasing a large order of bulbs, but I felt as though I was invisible. The younger staff was pleasant, but not the other person in the store. Not even a thank you and smile when I left the counter. ...

This is definitely one of my favorite stores ever! The Antique Gardener is so magical every corner feels so curated and intentional. From the rustic antiques to the cute garden stuff in the back, it’s such a lovely spot to Ooh and Ahh and maybe even find some inspiration to take home with you. Definitely worth a trip, even if you don’t usually shop...
